#227 - This is what happens when you ban guns. It's your own fault.  [+] (3 replies) 03/23/2016 on Aussies. +2

in this case (suicide bombing) guns wouldn't have prevented anything. but in cases like paris, they would.

oh tell me how guns could have prevented that suicide bombing.

You see, if you shoot the guy dead, he can't detonate his bomb. Super simple.

I know what St. stands for but what I meant to say is, why do so many Americans refer to themselves as "Irish." or "Part Irish" while they've never been outside the US and maybe don't even know the name of the currency they currently use in Ireland.

Because your genetic code is still a thing.

Nationality is a place of residence. It's citizenship essentially. Ethnicity is in your blood.

Plus it's important for a few reasons to always consider your roots. For example a lot of northerners (Euro) can drink milk while other nationalities may have much larger numbers of lactose intolerance genetically.

We can be proud of that.

Biological ancestry. By claiming one is "part Irish" they're announcing their heritage, not citizenship. It's just something people say to feel like they belong, true or not. The goal is commodore.

Really? Not their accessibility, lack of waiting periods, and lack of gun-show registration? Not the percentage of homes they are present in or the average number of guns per citizen? None of those things measure. Only "how can I carry it"?

States like Wyoming and South Dakota with far fewer restrictive gun laws are far more deserving of the stereotype than Texas. States which do not charge you with a crime for disobeying a private corporate policy, restrict the kind of holster you can use, and don't require you to prove your innocence.

Accessibility, lack of waiting periods & lack of gun show registration are all governed by laws. The lack of a restrictive law = more gun friendliness, while the presence of a restrictive law = gun UNfriendliness. Texas has some pretty unfriendly gun laws on the books such as force-of-law behind private 'no gun' signs, only 2 types of holsters being allowed for OC, etc. Texas is not nearly as gun friendly as the stereotype proports.

Trump is just a meme winning a lot of primaries

While I wholeheartedly agree Trump logically speaking wouldn't have a chance at the nomination or even the election in general, the delegates kinda speak for themselves.

Either way Clinton is probably going to win because she has more than sufficient ammo to bury Trump in enough smear campaigns to cripple his political and even his actual career.
