No. Dicks love to be dicks. If somebody I know says they aren't Christian, I'll maybe just ask why, and that's it. Besides, once a religious person is in a university, they get so much crap for it from everybody. So, I don't know if you're in high school or what, but everybody gets equal amounts of crap, and then says that everybody who shares the same world view as those who treated them that way is a dick.

In short: You're generalizing. Most of my friends I hang out with who are Christian, aren't Bible pushers. A huge amount of people are Christian, but you probably just don't know they are because they don't see the point in telling you.

A Light year is a distance measurement. Its the measurement of light traveling continually for 1 year. So if what we see is light and its 600 light years away that means it too 600 years for the light to travel to our eyes.

or perhaps they are farther evolved than us and are very close to coming to visit us

If I may, the recent discovery of the faster then light neutrino, the math was confirmed to be off. The particle only got as fast as the speed of light. It is physically impossible to travel faster then the speed of light because we cannot transform into photons.
