thanks.
it's a very frail recording. I want to get into heavier stuff. The next one will be a bit heavier

we have a lot, main 5 are:
The Dear Hunter
Circa Survive
Coheed
Mastodon
Tool
this song is more yes-like, though. It has that vibe that Close to the Edge gives me

I would like to compliment you on your musical tastes. I snooped through your comments with Dremora and the ones on the Music board.
I'm glad you are a Progressive fan. Band like Rush, Yes, The Moody Blues, and Uriah Heep have been some of my favourites for a long time.
You say you generally like Rock/Metal. What kinds of older bands are you into (< 1990s)?

Thanks! I'm still taking in as much as I can, with all the music out there it's a fun but crazy venture. Let's see, as far as older bands go I really enjoy Blue Oyster Cult, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, The Stray Cats, Dio, Foreigner, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Van Halen, and Return To Forever. I'm hoping to start getting deeper into other bands' discographies like Led Zeppelin, Kansas, Yes, The Moody Blues, Emerson Lake and Palmer, The Beatles.....There's a bunch of new bands that I want to check out as well. Like I said, fun but crazy! What older bands are you into/can recommend? I'm generally open to whatever.
Well you're already on the right track with The Moody Blues' discography. I downloaded that a while back and I don't regret it one bit.
A lot of their material is iffy, but that they experiment makes them great. I can list off plenty of Moody Blues songs that are just awesome.
Good job there, mate ( ^.^)b
One big name you left out in there was Uriah Heep. If you like Yes and Rush, you'll love Uriah Heep.
Here is "Lady In Black", one of their most popular songs. www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTD2YICU1DY
Another great artist I can recommend is Tony Carey. Carey was the keyboardist from the famous band Rainbow. After they broke up, Carey went solo. His work was mostly ignored by the world, but that didn't stop him from releasing several albums with great quality.
Carey masqueraded as the band "Planet P Project" for a while before eventually going solo with just "Tony Carey".
Here is "Why Me" by Planet P Project.

(What I particularly like about this song is its reference to the year 2010, which is used in the song as being so far in the future)
If you like Yes, then you may be interested to know that Jon (singer and lyricist) had some work he did with Vangelis in the 1980s. Vangelis you may know for his popular work "Chariots of Fire".
With Jon alongside Vangelis' wonderful synth work, you get this really...just epic sound. Here is one of my personal favourites from Jon & Vangelis, "Play Within A Play". www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=FfaNRNbV_UU#t=379
Beyond these, I have so many artists I could recommend and share with you. You have no idea the vastness of my library. It becomes ineffable. Tell me what you think of these few.

With the Jon & Vangelis one, the song i wanted you to hear is around 6-and-a-half minutes in, if you wanna skip to that one.
Hey there.
So I'm interested to know what other musicians/bands/genres you like.
(Also epic name and display picture xD)

Good sir fish, that's a rather excellent taste in music you have there! I like a good portion of the stuff you like there, and for that you deserve a brofist! Er, brofin? P:
My main taste of music is very similar, my favorite being Rock/Metal/Melodic Death Metal (But I do like other genres: Classical, Choral, Electronic, House few others).
Such bands as: Alter Bridge (I highly recommend these guys, seriously awesome), Killswitch Engage, Wintersun, Ensiferum, Mastodon, Metallica, Amon Amarth, Ghost, Porcupine Tree, Kamelot, Insomnium, Iron Maiden, Tremonti, Muse, Pendulum, Rammstein, Celldweller, Voicians, Blue Stahli, Daft Punk, Deadmau5, Opeth, Rainbow, Stone Sour and most recently Devin Townsend (+ a whole bunch of others)

Indeed! Grew up listening to prog, so it's always been there as a favorite!
I occasionally like to make dark/ambient music (Digitally). I'm also an amateur bass player (Self learning, I can play a few tunes, badly, but practice makes perfect =D)
How about yourself?

Lucky you! I didn't get into Prog until my sophmore year in high school. Cool, do you have a soundcloud or something for your stuff? Yeah I play rhythm guitar/write lyrics for a Prog Rock band called Aeonic Impulse. Here's our facebook if you feel like checking it out! www.facebook.com/AeonicImpulse
Hey, better late then never eh : D? Unfortunately I don't have a soundcloud or such (Although it's something I've been meaning to do) - I do however have a small sample I use for my youtube intros, www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0TqpolR4X0 (First 13 seconds).
That's pretty awesome! Cool name too, I like. I enjoyed your cover of Paranoid and Open Car =D! Following on FB now, thanks for sharing.

Definitely, It's pretty easy to set up but I think that they only give you like 1 free hour of music though before charging for more space. Interesting, so your youtube is for game walkthroughs? Thanks for checking us out and liking the page. Hopefully we can get started on doing some recording after we finish a couple more songs! So far we are just about done with 6 which together is around 47 min or so
Aha, hmm interesting. I might use mediafire (Web storage website, 10GB free I believe, it also now has music playback too).
Aye, like music, video games is a huge passion of mine. I enjoy making/editing pictures/videos so I like to upload stuff to youtube whenever I can. If I was going to do anything about pure music, I think I'd make a separate channel.
You're welcome! I like discovering new bands/music. Ooo very nice! Best of luck with it, I look forward to hearing when it's fully completed

Looking forward to a music channel! In the meantime here is the first ep of the Ziltoid radio show! www.metalsucks.net/2013/08/26/heres-the-first-episode-of-ziltoids-new-radio-show/
42 mins in so far and this is absolutely epic xD
Man, I got pumped when Daft Punk came on (Seriously one of my favorites, actually the first album I ever bought myself, was Daft Punk's Discovery)
But damn this is epic I look forward to the next show.
