Edison was given the money by a guy who's name I can't remember which is why he got the team together. Tesla was a member of that. Edison jokingly told tesla he would give him money he dident have of he perfected electricity, tesla did, then acted like a cunt trying to collect on a joke. Tesla was mostly a showman who had many great ideas but acted in very few of them, and less worked in his time. In not saying tesla wasn't smart, but he is only really famous for his ideas, which were mostly either impractical at the time or plain only usfull as a good showpeice.

the key word in the sentence you are taking issue with, was LARGELY, a qualification, meaning that many but not all people do not acknowledge him.
Qualifiers are the most important part of a statement that any truly intelligent person says, and only the truly intelligent people do not misconstrue the statements because they understand that qualifiers exist and are one of, if not the most important things to say.

Go to your average person. Ask if they know about Tesla. Then ask if they know about Edison. The point is that if you go to a decent learning center they will acknowledge that Tesla was incredibly important. But most people probably dont know about him considering his overall influence. People hear more about Edison than Tesla, because Edison invented the light bulb, but Tesla is the genius behind electricity becoming a truly useful and practical tool. The whole idea behind my argument is that Tesla should be a really, really, really big name, that people hear and know who he is. Cult status? Kids in middle school should know who he is.

On top of that general public history never mentions that Edison was kind of an asshole and a roadblock to progress. When Tesla and Edison were trying to prove to the public which form of current was better, Edison engaged in a smear campaign to ruin the reputation of Tesla and AC current. He used dirty tactics. He didn't approve of ideas that were in competition with his own.

Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson has a character, a king in fact, who wakes up each day with a different level of intelligence. He developed tests that had to be given to him each morning to determine whether he was fit to make public appearances or make laws. He remarks on the interesting fact that he can only make changes on days of average intelligence. It's obvious why he can't change laws while stupid, but on a particularly bright day, he had the great idea of controlling breeding in his kingdom via similar intelligence tests to the ones he had to take. At the time, he was sure he could make the general population see the good reasoning behind his decree. Thankfully his advisors did not allow it.
Maybe Sanderson got the idea from tesla, but I saw the point then and I see the point now. Take away the human element, looking at things from up high, it could be a good idea. Selective breeding to enhance positive qualities in a population happens all the time, And it works.
Of course, the human element is there when dealing with humans, so it could never work. But still.

He's only sort of wrong. Semi-automatic weapons in Australia are considered Class C and D weapons, which bear similar restrictions to America's laws on automatic weapons. Read: unnecessarily strict.
Also, how does it feel to live in a country that outlaws BB and cap guns with no exceptions? There are more restrictions on fake guns than there are on real guns.

Yes aussy has some seriously strict gun laws, but (and this is coming from a gun fanatic who wants to move just so he can use more guns) aussy is a better and safer place to live be\cause of it, i fully support loss of freedoms if it makes a place nicer to live in. but there are reasons it suits our country and not others too, i wouldnt expect a southafrican to give up his guns. but i also believe no public citizens should be allowed to use assault rifles unless under direct supervision of a government official, they are after all l;ong range mass murder tools. we wouldnt allow our citezens chemical weopons capable of killing 30 people in 30 seconds so why lead ones.
