Pervy Wizard of FunnyJunk.
I'm sorry, did you expect something witty here?
This must be rather disappointing for you, then.
I don't know why you're even still reading. This isn't going to suddenly get funny or clever out of nowhere. I'm not as funny as some people may have led you to believe. Those people lied to you, and it's their fault you're disappointed by this. My description isn't anywhere near as witty as I've pretended I am, nor is it funny.
So, yeah. I'm not even sorry that you're sad.

| >/pol/ hates the movie Not really m8. Spastic shitposters hate the movie. that's not actually true. the empire uses storm troopers for the exact opposite of that reason, which is the reason they used the CIS and clones prior, because they were faceless and emotionless. The empire realized that it takes logic and emotion to be a better soldier. the first order is purely the remnants of the empire. Just like Vader before him, Kylo Ren believes in the usefulness of full clone units (you can hear him and his master arguing about them when they're discussing capture of BB-8). However, the empire used constription - any man in the empire could join and be a storm trooper as an aside, they were stationed with their families on the original deathstar and fight for the empire that protected his homeland. #10 -
anon (12/26/2015) [-] Infirior because he got his ass handled by the Riot gear Stormtrooper. Him being a Janitor means he was a shitty soldier to begin with , as you can see in the actual movie where he is constantly running away and panicing as soon as shit hits the fan. Stormtroopers are frontline Soldiers. Frontline soldiers do not have Janitors , janitors in a military are either in a support role or civilian contractors. It would be like a US Marine would be made a janitor - this doesn't make any sense at all. For example. Stormtroopers are the actuall fighting personal. Non combatant personal who still are part of the military aren't actuall Stormtroopers but would be something like the engineering corps or such. Again Soliders in an active combat situation would only run away if the situation is too dire. Most of them would actually look first around , asses the situation and form a plan and don't just panic and run away like an idiot. Because ya know , soldiers are trained to ignore the flight or fight instinct and concentrate solely on the fighting aspect in a rational manner. Yes the marry sue character. A civilian thats beat the crap out of a trained solider - right. First rule in the military. DO. NOT. LOOSE. YOUR. FUCKING. GUN! No /pol/ hates the movie , like many other non polacks who watched it , because it is stupid. The chick is , like i said , a marry sue character of the marry sue characters. She is instantly capable of doing everything. Beats the shit out of people who are , at least should be , more and better trained than she is. Is somehow capable of using technologie and vehicales she has never used before. And always finds some stupid way to get out of a lethal situation - honestly half of the fucking movie consited of " How does the chick get them out if this shit this time " For the Black guy , he was half the movie an idiot and chicken shit and nothing about him said even remotly of him being a soldier or hell even part of the Stormtroopers. #7 -

Stevethewizard (12/24/2015) [-] Don't really have the ability to take care of a dog. I know how much effort it takes to take proper care of a dog, and I don't have that kind of time or energy. Major depression (diagnosed approximately 14 years ago, and no insurance means it's literally completely untreated outside of some relaxation exercises and ASMR videos [they work for relaxation, which does treat some symptoms]) plus a job that has me working odd hours means I'm nowhere near the best possible custodian for a dog, and I don't want someone else depending on me and being let down. A cat would be doable, but, as stated by the other guy that responded to you, it would require a psychiatrist signing off on it, and I don't have insurance to go to see one. Effectively, I'm stuck without a pet. I'm alright without one, but a source of affection would be nice. It's a legit thing. But its a bit of a process to go through. You basically need a legal document to show its an emotional support companion and to get that I think you need a psychiatrist to approve it. But if the landlord is a scumbag they'll start finding any reason to kick you out.

Stevethewizard (12/24/2015) [-] It's a Japanese term. In Japan, it's apparently traditional to have a cake at Christmas (Dec. 25, for those who aren't familiar with the date the holiday occurs on), but it's considered to be past date if eaten after the 25th. Similarly, (also in Japan, if people didn't understand) unmarried women over the age of 25 are considered less desirable for some batshit insane reason. Hence, the "Christmas cake" term popped up for describing single women who are over 25, but otherwise have absolutely nothing wrong with them.

| that's kinda how languages work... you ever heard old english? it's the "original" english, but people started saying stuff wrong or differently, and the language changed. Plus, look at your own argument: "People accepted octopi as the correct word, so now I'm mad when people accept octopuses as the correct word instead." A.) That's how languages work. People talk, languages change based on how people start talking. that's WHY we don't speak old english anymore, so if you want to be that uptight about it, I expect you to go learn old english and abandon modern English entirely, since that's the original accepted version of all our words, and therefore in your terms, the "right" version B.) The word is Greek, so the plural form should be "Octopuses" anyway. C.) Since both forms are in the dictionary, as well as octopodes, they're all technically correct... wow, it's almost like sometimes languages have different words for the same thing?!? Plus, a cursory google search tells us that all three words have existed in English for about the same amount of time, so your argument of "Original root" isn't even right, since they all were invented together. Also, just real quick, let's look at "With brevity being the single category to judge a potential replacement with difference in neither denotation nor connotation, "octopuses" is a failure as a replacement."... that's just stupid... if you're replacing a word with a new word, there's ALWAYS no difference in denotation or connotation, since the new word isn't yet a word... there is, however, the subject of the NORMALITY of the word. For example, by your logic, we should replace the plural form of dictionary (dictionaries) with dictionarys, because it's slightly shorter. However, by EVERYBODY ELSE'S LOGIC, that's stupid, because the rule is change y to ie, so that's what we do. tl;dr: In trying to make an argument, you pulled things out of your ass that were completely unnecessary, because nobody cares that much, and still managed to be wrong. It's only 5 minutes to read wikipedia, and even shorter to just look at the first Google links. With facts being the single category to judge a potential rant with neither interesting topic nor relevant place to post, your argument is a failure as a rant Steve, please don't tell me I know you. I swear I've heard this exact rant before and it shames me to see you pull this stunt in public. Come home Steve, Jacob and I are very worried about you. | ||

skeletorexplains (12/21/2015) [-] Sometimes speed has the advantage over raw power. Its why i give my Orc's the option of Dual Axes / hammers as a secondary weapon. They're efficient if the enemy gets close. A greathammer while it has the raw power needed, Once the enemy gets close, there's nothing you ca do but distance yourself from them to gain the advantage. So if they're fighting within Arms length, you're never going to be able to use the greathammer to its full potential. Hammer-axe is best axe. Tenderizer for pleasure. #59 -
Stevethewizard (12/21/2015) [-] Or, you can wield it closer to the head. If you're comparing two hammers with heads of similar weight, with the only difference being the length of the shaft, a longer shaft gives a greater advantage due to greater potential leverage and maximum striking distance. If the greathammer in question has a heavier head than the compared hammer-axe, it would be slightly more unwieldy in close-quarters combat, but much more devastating in standard melee combat, due to the increased force from both the increased weight and massive difference in potential leverage.
