Effectively, unless the customer is in the process of throwing a fit and/or threatening a BBB complaint, they're supposed to try to weasel a way out of replacing it.
That's also the quickest way to make your warranty cover things it's not technically supposed to cover, so, if you don't mind acting like a shitty person, they're an incredible resource.

I'm saying the physical copies don't come with a digital download, unlike the vast majority of publishers have begun doing with the PC versions of games. Even fucking EA does this shit for their PC releases.

They'll replace anything within 30 days. Granted, since the game came out on the 10th (6 days ago), it would be replaceable... assuming you still have your receipt.
After that, there's the one year "service plan", which is approximately $5 but entirely superfluous for most people, and doesn't cover intentional damage or damage due to "neglect". What, exactly, they're able to get out of by saying it doesn't cover "neglect" is unspecified, but since it's Walmart, you can bet they'll try to weasel their way out of anything to avoid handing over a new copy.

I bought a physical copy, it was cheaper than buying it on steam, i had a gift card, and the perk poster followed with it.

The vast majority of console games (e.g., Xbox One games, such as displayed in the content) do not come with digital copies, because people seem to think discs are indestructible now, even though there haven't been any actual improvements to the materials the discs are made from outside of Blu Ray discs, which the Xbox One doesn't use.

So, to answer your question directly, not unless you're playing on PC. Which this guy obviously wasn't, unless he bought a disc he wasn't ever going to use for the sole purpose of a picture on the internet, which would likely make this the most expensive pic he's ever taken.

Physical copies, which can become damaged (disc can become scratched, or warped if you're enough of a dumbass to leave the disc in a drive of a system that's constantly running), and which have no fix short of replacement if they do become damaged.
Physical copies aren't a benefit unless you have non-physical backup, in which case you're better just using the physical copy as a display of the fact you own the game, and just using your non-physical copy.
Then again, needing to display that you own a game means either you are completely insecure and crave the attention and approval of others, or you have literally no long-term memory.

Nah. It's nothing against the devs, I just don't let myself get hyped for games anymore.
It's a bad choice. If I get hyped, most games don't live up to my expectations, and it ruins my experience if it doesn't. If I don't get hyped, I don't have expectations of the game, and I can play it for what it is, instead of comparing it to an ideal that is almost impossible to live up to.

all i want from just cause 3 is to surf on top of an airplane, blow shit up with c4, and have infinite parachutes in my backpack yes, essentially just more jc2 . they do that, i will be pleased.

not that fallout isnt a great game, but it could have been so much better.
