I read both those comics but am afraid to watch the shows. From what I read about Lucifer, they completely changed almost every aspect of it and it really only shares a name with the comics without actually sharing anything else. I haven't heard much about preacher but there is a lot in that series that they wouldn't be able to put on TV and would therefore need to water down significantly. Also, they made Tulip a black woman for some reason.

I haven't read either of them, but did know preacher was a comic beforehand. They've certainly watered it down for tv from what I've heard about the comic, and I think the decision to cast a black actress as Tulip does help to reinforce the feeling of how outcast she was from the community (lets face it, being black in the deep south aint exactly a good thing).

As for Lucifer, I fucking love that show, it does slow down a fair bit towards the middle, but the characters are appealing enough to me that I don't mind seeing their day-to-day lives without a huge amount of plot development happening.

As a person who didn't even know Lucifer was a comic before a show, I think it's a great show. However, if it's true they rewrote it for tv, for all I know the comic is amazing, and makes the show look like a fart train.

That all being said, you should give it a try, if only just an episode. Anything to escape the cold loneliness of my life, I always say!

Like I said, I haven't watched Lucifer and I am getting this from what I have read of the show, but they apparently completely threw out the source material and just kept some of the characters who also were significantly changed. From my reading it is at the point where the show shares almost nothing in common with its supposed source material.

Clarkson even said that they were right to fire him and that his behavior had become terrible.

I agree that the BBC had valid reasons, my issue is with the fact that Chris Evans has been acting like a total prick and pissing nearly everyone else working on topgear ever since they started filming and has even been physically violent himself but nothing has happened to him.
#14 - StealerShock (06/26/2016) [-]
It just hasn't gone very public yet. It was only big news when Clarkson hit someone because he is so loud and generally newsworthy anyway. Chris Evans doesn't have the appeal to the media so isn't as closely followed. It will get out there soon enough, and then things will start happening.

Let's be honest, the show isn't gonna make it to season 2

i actually do what you do while im on summer break right now. that will stop when i start up this summer class in a week. But enough about me. I am only over there on weekends so i can't speak for every day, but when i am there, he does eat all 3 meals. always frosted flakes for breakfast and a couple hashbrowns, lunch is the hotpockets, and dinner is either more hotpockets, a frozen pizza, an ordered large pizza, or some other frozen meal meant for like 4 people. I swear this kid (and another childhood friend now that i think about it) are complete anomalies, all that food goes in and they don't gain a pount. don't get me wrong though he is unhealthy as a mofo. as skinny as he is, he can't run for more than like 20 seconds.
#40 - StealerShock (05/31/2016) [-]
then I'm willing to bet his visceral fat levels (the fat around your organs) are sky high, mine probably are too. Just because a dude is skinny, doesn't mean he doesn't have an unhealthy level of body fat.
