Sure, she might want him to give the gift to her crush because she's nervous, but
for starters he had the balls to go up and give her the present so she should 'man up' a little,
also she totally ignored the fact that he got her a valentine's present because he clearly has
feelings for her and yet she chooses to utterly ignore them and acts in an openly insulting manner.

If she wanted to say no to him, the least she could've done was said she appreciated the gift and gently tell him she doesn't have those sorts of feelings for him. It's not a good thing to hear, but it's sure as shit better than the spit in the face she gave him.
