Right, and if you were to loop that effect you could accelerate the cannon ball to relativistic speeds without a massive energy input. a satchel of powder could launch the cannon ball fast enough that the blast radius would level cities.

While I agree with you, my friend.. All I can say is. 'Magic.'
User avatar #95 - wakami (12/12/2014) [-]
Down side to all of this. If you are going with strict rules, then the cannon balls would still deal the damage of the rifle. For the weapon determines damage, not the ammunition.

I'm not bashing the magic, only the wasted potential. Why stop at cannon when you can annihilate worlds?

Then the gun is creating energy and isn't a ship cannon; with an autoloader it's a WMD.
User avatar #88 - Sorrowscythe (12/12/2014) [-]
The cannon ball, now shank into a musket ball, is fired with the force it would be required to fire said musket ball. The ring at the end of the barrel is used to cancel the magical effect, thus bringing the cannon ball back to original size, while traveling at the same velocity it was fired at.. Assuming the rifle is a standard commoner's flintlock.

have you even read my comment?

"I do agree that these men and women are awesome, to actually want to join and defend and help their country." who are they defending? You from the guy who has 2 goats and lives on a mountain? who exactly is being helped? the innocent people that got murderd? or their children now living in the shadow of isis?

These people went to those locations because they were bored, wanted to expirience something new, or tought life is call of duty. they went there willingly god knows what shit they did there and when they get post traumatic stress i'm supposed to feel sorry? Visit an iraqy mass grave look those mourning mothers in the eye and tell me our soldiers are heroes

I prefer to think of the person as a human, instead of a soldier or a hero. American culture seems to immortalize or look up to the men and women of our armed forces because of the shit we're fed in the media about it.

I do agree that these men and women are awesome, to actually want to join and defend and help their country. But being afflicted with PTSD is a terrible thing for someone to have.

How you dehumanized the person for being afflicted with PTSD is something I absolutely do not agree with, but it's your opinion and that is your right to have.

just an additional data... Azathoth, Nyarlathotep, Shub-Niggurath, Yog-Sothot and most of the outer gods in lovecraft's stories are based fron the book of the crazed arabian Abdyl Alhazred, aka the Necronomicon.

yes, if you wanna get into Lovecraft, start reading The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath.
but i think you can listen to it in youube, or downloading it from pirate bay.

that or read In the Mountains of Madness.

Good game. Very good single player and the multiplayer/PvP is actually pretty fun as long as you're not getting lagged backstabbed/ attacked by hackers git gud.

As I suggestion, try pirating the game first to see if you like it. You'll be able to enjoy most of the game but it's not nearly as fun without the fear of getting invaded by people specced for PvP and spamming double sided weapons.
User avatar #1116367 - avatarsarefornoobs (12/05/2014) [-]
i played the game once through, and i only got invaded 3 times, and i somehow managed to kill everyone. mostly just by being a shield baby, or doing cheap stuff like running off to summon solaire to save me. one guy almost killed us both.
User avatar #1116550 - flammablefetus (12/05/2014) [-]
At lower levels it isn't so bad, but on subsequent playthroughs, where people have very high amounts of points specced into purely killing, they become a pain. In truth, most matches were even, but it was so common I'd get attack by someone from South America and while his hits would visibly not hit me, they'd still register.
