Aren't propper longbows supposed to be about a foot longer than the man who wields them?

Also, ammo was specialised but not that much more expensive, hence how England could field entire armies of longbow men and be fine for arrows.

I actualy practice archery and have used one of those Japanese bows. The pullback isn't so bad, but the recoil always sets my shots askew.

I mainly use short bows, longbows and composite bows.

Recoil? What you mean recoil? I know recoil when handling firearms, surely must be a different thing with bows, as bows simply don't kick. What do you mean by recoil? I've been shooting since I was 7 and I am not familiar with this as a concept in archery.

oic, hurting your hand. I have felt that a few times when i was young, but never since. Then again i've never fired a Yumi. From my experience, that issue can almost always be resolved by your grip, but again i've never fired Yumi
