It is theoretically possible to replace the brain with an artificial one without compromising the host, think Ship of Theseus.

Forgot what the method was actually called though.

Also, a brain transplant has been done in the past where the head was disconnected and grafted onto another body.

The test subject, in this case a monkey, died of immunorejection.

While I am at it, do you have a source for the one who made the claim that the brain can not be removed without also removing the spinal cord? No? That is what I thought.

Brain transplants, artificial bodies, virtual reality.

Mortality is obsolete, the cyberpunk century has already begun.

death is important allows the populace to adapt and the human species has alot of adapting to do, brain transplants are pretty much impossible unless you have a safe way of removing the brain and spinal cord without damage, artificial bodies same issue with removing brain and spinal cord VR might be possible save for the fact cells have a max limit before they stop splitting 50 times is all the telomeres will allow.

the brain can't function without the spinal cord it'd just stop.
