| Well, I'm still looking for spaceship and weaponry concept art. I look at it this way, if someone assists me in getting my game off the ground, I'm more liable to pay them better than someone that joins afterward. A way of saying thank you more or less. Once I'm able to find a property that I can claim as my company, I'll be going to the local colleges to see about getting students to help out in return for credits. | ||

| Yeah, I've been on the look-out for artists for my game and most of the ones who are interested are normally still in college or have a job and can't dedicate enough time to drawing. Biggest issue for my game so far has been the hurdle of finding artists that can do some work for free to help me get to the demo stage to when I can start a Kickstarter and then pay everyone. Well, I'm still looking for spaceship and weaponry concept art. I look at it this way, if someone assists me in getting my game off the ground, I'm more liable to pay them better than someone that joins afterward. A way of saying thank you more or less. Once I'm able to find a property that I can claim as my company, I'll be going to the local colleges to see about getting students to help out in return for credits. | ||

It's going alright, I've been busy with family the last while with Xmas and all. I was going to try and finish it up and give it to you on Xmas, but a buddy of mine that joined the Navy was able to show up, so I've been b.sing with him. I've got most the body done, I'm not sure how I want to do the effect for the legs yet. I've tried a couple model ideas for the claw arm, but can't end up happy with any of em. If you want to elaborate on how it might look that'd help.
Also, might you know any artists that'd want to do concept art for my game? I'm coming up with ideas in 3D just fine, but it's a lot quicker to make a 3D model off of a 2D drawing.

It's a high resolution animation program that started as a tool for Valve animators but after the Meet the Pyro I think they released a more user friendly version to the public. I've made a few shitty animations but now I stick with making interesting or just all around awesome pictures, usually the perfect size to make into wallpapers.

Alrighty, if you want specific details or feel like making it a bit easier on me, get me some side profile and either top/bottom or front/back. If the left side has more details than the right, give me the right side. If the top provides more input than the bottom, front or back, give me the top side. That kind of deal.

Right. Though that missile rack is only made of 9 pieces.
This here is a concept design showing the various slots available on a Weapon Arm mech.
Note the two Core slots, and the two Shoulder Slots taken up by weapons.
Some Weapon Arm types wouldn't have Arm Slots, though, specifically the ones that don't have elbows.

So, using your picture as inspiration and the Vulture from Mechwarrior 4 and some other sources. Here's something I came up with.
The hip/legs will be changeable and the torso would be as well. All red ports are sockets accepting weaponry/equipment. The forward sockets are for arms kind of deal, the rear are for larger weaponry, the two under the nose would be for like miniguns (vulture from MW4 is a lot of inspiration for that) and there are 3 sockets on the top that you can barely see. Arranged in a triangle. Radar, ECM, AMS, LMS, Etc. would go in those slots.
Also, keep in mind armor would be attached to the legs. I have yet to add the slots for leg armor or whatever. I was messing around with feel designs. I need to make sure they are acceptable for large open deserts.

I like those! The look really nice! Simple to replicate in blender as well. If you can get me a side and front profile for the Gatling I could do that one a bit easier. If there are little details you'd like to keep in the gun, make sure you make a shot of those as well.
What I like about these is that they work being modular! I could even see the Gatling guns having handles on the top, so when you don't want to use them, you can let go and they can fold up behind the mech. This would let you use the mech hands for whatever.
