I know what you mean. My cat used to stick by my side everyday. When I left for school, he would be waiting right by the door when I got home. He would follow me around my house, sleep in my bed with me every night, and watch t.v. with me on my couch. Even when I was sick for 2 weeks with the flu, he never left my side. He would give me those little kitty massages and rub his face against my face. When my cat died in April, I cried like I never had before. I still can't get over the face that he's gone. It hurts the most that I couldn't stop his suffering and that I didn't know how serious it was until we saw all the blood coming from his mouth, butt, and nose. The vets just looked at my family and I as we cried. When the vets left the room, I held him in my arms and told him how much I loved him. Then when the vets came back into the room, they listened to his heart until it stopped beating. I miss my cat so much. He was 13 years old and I just want to hold him back into my arms.

I am so sorry. You made me cry. But then anything about an animal in pain or dying can make me cry. I have no idea what I'm going to do my beloved cat now dies.

She is blind in one eye and suffers from seizures on occasions. She is a calico and we found her the side of the road. Drop off. We know because there was a truck that was idling there for the longest time and when we came around the corner (my parents, our dog, and I) it drove away and as we walked passed the spot, this little 11 week old kitten came right up to us with a horrible mat of fur on her right side. We had no intention of keeping her because we already had five cats but we couldn't let her go. Now she lives with my husband and I and I never went her to die but when she does, I am going to get her stuffed and then have her burred with me. But she's 6 right now so I know we have awhile but I am dreading the call from my folks when our dog and oldest cat die (both 11).

I know how you feel my cat died before he was called max he had the cutest little paws and he was too old and we had to put him down because he had a disease so i stood there while they slowly made injected him with stuff to make him fall asleep. I picked up his lifeless body and said he mattered the most to me at the time and instead of the cat always waiting for me to come back i was waiting for him to come back to me but he never will. :(

Crying writing this is very painful

My cat was very sick in a matter of 1 week. He stopped eating, drinking, and walking. When he tried to walk, he would just topple over. He would throw up everyday, numerous times a day even though he wasn't taking in any nutrients. He couldn't even use his litterbox(not like he couldn't get there on time, like he physically could not use the bathroom). He lost half his body weight by the time the vet could finally see us. When I felt him, all I felt was bone. The vet told us he wouldn't make it through the night. When he took his temperature, the thermometer was covered in blood and so was his gloves. He had apparently been bleed from his rectum, mouth, nose, and there was blood in his urine. The vet told us he was in a comatose state which explained why he wasn't moving. The source of all this was the fact that his bladder had ruptured. We didn't put him down, he died in front of me. The vets that had worked with my cat through all the years he was alive came together and personally sent us numerous sympathy cards to our home.

Thank you for your sympathy. It's just so hard to say goodbye to a special part of my life. My mother, uncle, and brother all cried themselves to sleep; and they never cry about anything. I just miss my cat so much. I feel like crying every time I look at his ashes or see one of his pictures.

The fact that animals can understand and adapt to almost anything is amazing!
