That means we would have to change the very core of human nature itself, and make trans people a norm, like blacks had to become a norm after the civil rights movement, or like gays are now. But you see, that obviously doesn't just happen overnight, and we can't just change it.

It's a change that comes with time. And that's why I'm willing to wait.

There's the problem. Not everybody can pass perfectly, though. Why should the ones who can't be treated differently from the ones who can, just because they look different? I assume, from your last post, that you're trans. You should know how fucked up it is to think that some of us deserve what we get just because we can't pass as well as others

I never said that the ones who don't pass as well should be treated differently, I'm just saying that they do. Why does this happen? Because of human nature. We see something different from the norm and we have to point it out. Every trans person goes through it at some point.

Here's the problem for trans people, when assholes walk all over us, it's usually a way that gets abusive, or convinces people in power to restrict us. Assholes can do damage to us even without physically harming us

That's when you start the legal process of going against whatever they're trying to limit us to. It's just a game of cat and mouse.

And besides... Let's be honest...

If trans people really passed, they wouldn't be in that situation anyways.

I mean, I know what it's like, I don't mean to be "that person", but I guess it's just that I've been living for so long as the gender I identify that nobody really thinks twice about me.

Tried it that way, and got really pissed, really fast. Just letting it go is no way to get things done, otherwise that just tells assholes they can keep walking over you with no retribution

It doesn't matter if assholes walk over you. If you don't value their opinion, it literally means nothing.

Unless they start beating the shit out of you, of course. But most of those situations can be avoided anyways.

People may not understand right now, but that's just fine. Just move on with your life, be as socially "normal" as possible, and maybe one day we'll be seen as normal as the rest of the LGBT community.
