I wouldn't buy an Audi; their reliability is questionable. Same with Mercedes.

Depending on how well life goes, Id get a BMW M3. Widely noted as the best car you could buy. My dream is car is an E46 M3 in Laguna Seca Blue color. They run about 18-24k right now. May seem a lot for a relatively old (10-15 year old) car, but it really is worth it.

theyre really not; quite honestly the new BMWs are really good (im talking the past ~5 years). Yes parts are expensive as in all german cars, but they rarely break so...you dont pay much. The really old BMWS (im talking E36s, 1990's 5-series) had bad electrical problems but that was pretty much it. The only real major common problem with the E46 M3s is the cooling system (piping is rubber so after years of wear and tear it starts cracking and stuff) and VANOS, but that's a cheap fix.

The reliability of Beemers vary from model to model, (7 series are one of the least reliable, while the 3 series are the most reliable for example) and even the most reliable 3 series are still nowhere near as reliable as your average Honda , or Toyota(Which is one of the best).. Its all because of target market. Car dealerships don't make as much money in car sales as they do in the service department, and the kind of market that shops around for new BMWs is expected to have money. Old men in suits drive (or are driven in) 7 series , therefore BMW would expect that they would have the money to keep their car running if something was to sadly break in the car. BMW brags about generations of experience in making their vehicles, which is true. They have the potential of becoming the most reliable car maker in the world... But why would they do that? As I said, the majority of dealer's profits come from the repair shop...

Hondas and Toyotas as I Said are some of the most reliable, why? Because its made to be an affordable car. You pay 30 grand for the thing brand new, and you change the oil every 5-8000km and you should be fine! If they broke down as often as BMWs, they would be out of business.

TL;DR BMW are of in fact of similar quality as the other 2 German luxury brands.

ahh that's true. I forgot about that factor, I was thinking only power.

Mine gets pretty good mileage; on a road trip to Virginia during spring break I averaged 24 mpg. And I pushed it pretty damn hard; got up to 121 mph one time, 111 another and 107 a third (in New York City where I'm from I never have a chance to put down the throttle so owning the car for 6 months and I still hadnt tested its capabilities.)

You should drive a Geo Metro. You know what they say about guys with big cars? It works the opposite for tiny cars.

Or a Miata. Ive heard they ridiculously fun to drive if youre not afraid of being called gay. Id get one

Why do you wish you had the 2.5?
They have the same power. I'm a 'no replacement for displacement' type of guy so I would've picked the 3.6 for dat torque.

In response to your question; yes and no. From a dig no, because your AWD would destroy my FWD. But from a roll then sure. I'm pretty sure Id win because I have about 15 HP more and I weigh about 250 lbs less

I work in a tire shop, and we have a lot of Subarus come through. However, it appears a lot of them don't know what all an AWD system entails. They'll have different size tires, worn different amounts on their cars, and complain about how Subarus suck because they had to get the drive train repaired. I really just want to yell "HOW FUCKING STUPID ARE YOU?! YOU ARE DESTROYING A MAGNIFICENT PIECE OF ENGINEERING!", but I also want to keep my job. So, I inform them of what they are doing, they blow me off, and keep on griping.
I have to say though, the way their differentials are set up lets you corner a HELL of a lot more consistently (and generally faster from my personal experience) than a RWD or FWD.

P.S. fuck your 2012

I drive an '04.
Used to have a 2000. Got it up to 290,000 miles. Then, one night on my way home from work, I lost an oil line. Heard the bearings go before I got to the side of the road (that quick!).
Went out looking for another Forester (i love them so much) and came home with my '04 three days later. That was about a month ago. It's in near perfect condition with only 50,000 miles on it. Got it for $6,000. I'm gonna ride this thing until it passes on to the great beyond.

We're not really taught about other countries in U.S. public schools, aside from the very basic history of western civilization. We don't even have to take a second language if we don't want to... This whole country basically doesn't give a shit about the rest of the world and no one has noticed. Well, maybe other countries have noticed, but no one I've met in the U.S. is aware of the phenomenon. I hope to travel one day and get out of this ridiculous place.
