I'm not saying imposing stricter gun laws would completely wipe out the concept of people fucking each other up with weapons for giggles, but if imposing stricter gun laws saves at least one life then it's worth it. If all the law abiding gun owners out there are really law abiding, then an increase in regulation wouldn't really be that big of a deal to them, no?

So just fyi by your logic, not killing 650 thousand people annually is better than potentially letting 2.5 million people die a year. By your logic, the best thing to protect us from people who want to use that exact thing to harm us is to ban it from all people who would use it morally and legally? and let those who illegally wish to obtain and use these things business as usual. Guns save more lives annually than they take in purely protective means by citizens in the public sector not officers of the law 2.5 million times a year rightful gun holders save themselves from would be attackers, threats, rape, murder. 950 thousand homicides are related to gun use a year, THIS NUMBER IS ALSO SKEWED because homicides include cases where somebody dies accidentally or while protecting ones self, if those cases are removed you are left with some 650 thousand odd homicide related deaths by guns. Where as 2.5 million lives are SAVED potentially due to guns. In fact if more people had guns, those mass shootings wouldn't happen as often bc they would get shot down so fast. You arguments are so facile and uneducated and not backed up by numbers or facts. You are merely a part of an ever larger growing epidemically problem in America.
