Yeah, it was the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire. 146 fatalities, and it was pretty much directly responsible for all the "This Door Must Remain Unlocked During Business Hours" signs you see in buildings, as well as a lot of other workers' safety stuff.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triangle_Shirtwaist_Factory_fire

Pic related, it's a shirtwaist, the things the girls were making at the time.

so basically they are immune to the law.

As long as only one of them commits the crime they could literally do whatever they wanted and never be punished.
User avatar #68 - demigodofmadness (01/03/2014) [-]
Not necessarily, repeated crimes would warrant suspicion and at the very least the one who does not commit the crimes could be found guilty as an accessory for not stopping it. Not one or the other has complete control over the body.
User avatar #71 - xdeathspawnx (01/03/2014) [-]
damn, I was thinking that they could become the greatest hit-men of all time who could never be punished even if they were caught.
User avatar #72 - demigodofmadness (01/03/2014) [-]
Probably not, if one is acting the hit-man while the other plays innocent the court would ask questions like, "Why did you not call the police?" or "Why did you not use your influence over your body to prevent the murder?"

Crimes of passion are a different matter. If someone was calling them a "freak" or something like that and one of them started yelling and grabbed a knife and stabbed them to death while the other screamed in protest and tried to stop it they could get away with it.

I imagine doing drugs or possession they could get away with since the other one could have no control over the other ones usage.

Pretty sure he was thinking along the lines of "If a train were coming I'd push you out of the way, even if it meant that I got hit by the train instead."

But you know, that wouldn't fit to the music quite as well.

1) She is being forced to run extra in practice
2) There is no good reason for it. It is just because the coach doesn't like her
3) She is doing it alone, which is a lot less fun than doing it with people
4) Unless you are a pro org going to be a pro, you join a sport because they are fun. Being forced to run because someone doesn't like you is not fun.

did you know that some-places think of an h as not being a consonant like others, and since it is so soft compared to most that they ignore it completely sometimes. In Texas that is grammatically correct.
User avatar #55 - articulate (10/04/2013) [-]
Yeah... if it's like "an honour" or "an hour", but "highscore" isn't pronounced "eyescore" so it doesn't work. (In my opinion anyway. I don't really care that much.)
User avatar #56 - dancokacole (10/05/2013) [-]
It really is social opinion that dictates H's ruling in English. In English we have some random rules, it's not surprising we differ. I personally would choose "a" as well simply to make English simpler, but when it comes down to it, it is areas that choose these rules, We as humans are really just people on a huge rock, and language differs after more distance, so I am not surprised.
User avatar #51 - cosmicapprentice (10/04/2013) [-]
In spanish the H is a muted letter.
