Actually, the idea of zombies is quite plausible. There is a parasite that gets into a rats brain and causes it to run straight for cats. This parasite basically completely overtakes the rats brain to control its movements. All that needs to happen is for this parasite to evolve into a form that can infect humans, and make them revert into a primal, cannibalistic stage then hey presto, zombies. but that could take millions of years, so we cool.

It does infect humans. In fact, 1 in 3 people is infected with it and they don't know it. It's called Toxoplasmosis. Though the affect on people is a slight increase in grumpiness because it attaches in the brain. But this is incorrect that it "controls" rats to run for cats. Rather it tricks the rats brain into being attracted to the scent of cats and turns off the fear of cats.

I'm talking about from a biological stand point. Even if a zombie did come to be I'd give it 2 weeks at most before it just stops functioning.

Depends on if its a classic 'Un-dead zombie' or like the 28 days later style, where they aren't dead, just extremely primal.

Not really. Animals, like humans, usually stay away from anything psycho (except in the case of animals that are already psycho like Chimpanzees)

They don't bother humans because they know we'll beat/shoot/ resist the shit out of them. Zombies from what I know only seem to go after humans, and relatively medium sized animals. Sure a bird pecking at it might not hurt it outright, but the zombie is never going to heal from any pain.
