I'll let you in on a little secret. I was drugged last year and woke up in an alley in downtown San Diego with no recollection of what happened, only my phone and three dollars, and missing wallet/car keys. I later was able to find my stuff by searching back through Google's location data that I let them collect so unselfishly. A hobo had apparently mugged me and been dumb enough to not ditch my wallet, so when my friends rolled up under the Coronado Bridge and confronted a group of them (where I had seen I spent a lot of time blacked out but lingering there), the guy instantly gave up my stuff and begged not to get hurt. I had a presentation in LA the day after I found my stuff that resulted in a promotion, so thank god I didn't turn off location data sharing. Tl;dr - location data saved my career, don't be a distrustful neckbeard asshat and 'muh freedom'
