As it helped you the most, it was only fair you share the burdern with dad. We lowered the taxes on Tea and halfed the taxes on sugar but increased enforcement and taxes stamps and common goods like glass, lead paper and tea etc. It was the fact we decided this without asking....we apologised in the end but you already started smashing stuff up at that point.

America was not taxed into poverty. With the combination of higher taxes due to a recent war and the banning of the slave trade rich colonials went mental and rebelled. There is nothing honourable or brave about the American revolution. It was however very impressive.
