Well, I wont argue that the average US crewman would better at using his tank in a combat scenario than to a German's, but I was just saying that the pure tank itself (basically clone two crews and give them the exact same everything, just different tanks).

With the first shot, correct me if I'm wrong but I heard that the Abrams has an effective range of 3 miles, whilst the Leopard has one of 6. And the reason why we keep the Abrams is because we tend to stick to American weaponary (Spec. Ops. actually tends to go to H&K for weapons do to the 'German Quality, but that's not tanks, so idk why I'm bringing it up).


And yes, Tank vs. Tank doesn't really happen anymore and I don't think an Abrams or a Leopard could compete against an A-10 Warthog strafing run or an AH-64 Longbow.

military here also so might be a bit one sided, but from what i know of ROE we do use air superiority to take out enemy tanks and most tanks are now used as heavy artillery, such as paladins and with other militarys such as Germans not as active as ours currently is *so we know how to work situations well from day to day experience*, our experience from the warfare would put any and all our crews at a more advantageous position then most any other military

Mostly just my personal opinion.
To be perfectly honest it's mostly because of the confidence I have in my own crewmen.
If you get down to the itty bits of it, the two tanks aren't that different.
It depends a lot on just who has the tactical advantage and who gets the shot off first.
But I've never seen an Abrams get beat. There's a reason we don't get them ourselves. We think it's a better fighting machine.

If you really want my opinion. Tank V Tank is kind of an irrelevant argument.
It just doesn't happen anymore.

A katana functions best with slices, and against armour the wielder has to target exposed areas with quick jabs, but full metal armour was rare in Japan.

Again, I said design. Of course the two have different forms, and thus excel at different tasks. However, at the base of the design is a weapon; they are both swords and not dissimilar in function. The comment I was replying to made it sound as though the two were in no way alike. That's like placing a sports car next to an SUV and trying to prove one of them isn't a vehicle. Of course they are, only different in function and excelling at different tasks. I'm not trying to say that the two are identical, only that they are comparable in their uses.

claymore are mostly for chopping and trusting, they were made thicker than and stronger than katanas which were made for slicing, compare a katana to a claymore by using the katana to chop something, is fucking retarded
