I used to be sure about my food, but after learning about spaghetti and meatballs, I just don't know anymore.  Spaghetti and meatballs is technically Italian-American, it just originated in the US from Italian immigrants. I don't remember exactly how it came to be, but it was something about the households being able to afford so much more food and tomato sauce and flour being cheap to buy a lot of so more money could go towards meat. I'm sure I butchered that, but it's about right. Hahaha the wars in the middle east going back 10,000 years were originally caused by trying to figure out who invented Hummus and Falafel. (Thats why Hamas named itself after Hummus) The US should not get involved in that. #14 -

Your dressings, German cake and so forth are only relevant in America. You trying to steal pizza from Italy, though, and referring to American style as "pizza" and the original as "Italian pizza" is just dumb. Same with trying to steal the combination of spaghetti and meatballs. Meatballs are far from an American invention, and same with spaghetti. Meatballs have a history in several European cultures, and the combination of the two was not "invented" in America. Have you been to Naples Italy and NY and Chicago? anon (1 hour ago) [-] Another anon here and ill try to make some clarity here. Pizza as it is in Italy is way more common the world around, it just depends in what restaurants it is served. More luxurious pizza is made with thinner bread but with better spices. It's only a scant difference but it matters somewhat. In most places that aren't the US we usually call American pizza "Pan Pizza" or at the very least make a difference between the two. Pizza is an Italian invention(with inspiration from China i believe) while pan pizza is the American variant, a bit smaller as a whole but much thicker.  America invented General Chao's chicken?
