I can tell you I tip more than happily if the service was above average, however I can also say I tip maybe 5% of the time because of this. Generally I only feel a need to tip at the more grandiose restaurants because workers there understand the position they are in and generally do their job and cater to the customers in a way that deserves a tip. If you're saying I should tip the random waiter/waitress who stops by to take my order and fill my drinks once and maybe brings me the check if I don't have to wave them down first, then yeah fuck you, I'll give my order to the cook and get my stuff myself if that's the case.
