It depends on your karma, some decisions you made, and if you did all the quests that affected the end. If you mostly just speed through it, that means that you just quickly destabilized the place and it's all just a huge power grab by people. If you took your time and completed important quests, it meant your player tied the loose ends around the Mojave for a mostly smooth coupe d'etat and the people who you helped were better off.

i never actually finished new vegas...i got poisoned and then the game autosaved me so that i die everytime i reload the game...


and my last save before that was like hours before that so cba to play through it to the point i was at...

They should have made the Lonesome road the main questline or at least one of them and made you walking through the 88 and accidentally blowing it up an on rails tutorial like in Fallout 3. That way you would have been connected to your character by the time Benny shot you and it would have made all the foreshadowing with the other courier actually mean something. Instead of this blew up and you did it because I said you did it even though I have no proof and you've never actually delivered anything in game. Doing that would have given the player a much more meaningful connection to the Mojave and would have made deciding who you want to blow up a really big deal.

Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the sidequests a lot, but I felt 3s story was more personal and I enjoyed it more. With NV you felt completely out of place and unnecessary. In the first Fallout you were chosen to get the water chip, in 3 you have to find your dad and in NV it felt really forced.

after WW2 when the war inflation made the min wage meaningless, the gov raised it to account for the inflation. After that, whiet teen unemployment doubled to 20% and black teen unemployment quadrupled to 40% (they were equal at one poine)

I find the best difficulty is the second hardest one (I think it's "Veteran"). The AI isn't exactly stellar; just find something solid that'll stop incoming fire and wait for enemies to expose themselves trying to line up a shot on you.

If you do decide to play the game (I'd recommend it), there is one thing I'll warn you about because it pissed me off so much; early in the game you'll be sent to a place called the Agroprom Research Institute. To get there, you'll need to take the tunnels, called the Agroprom Underground. For the most part it's what you'd expect; dark, full of bandits and military, I encountered a bloodsucker for the first time, enemies pop out around corners and take potshots at you from the shadows. It can be slightly nerve-wracking the first time through, because you don't know what to expect, but it's nothing you can't handle.

However, at the end of the tunnels right before you reemerge at the surface, you'll climb a long spiral staircase (full of military enemies), and find yourself in an empty, barren corridor. As you walk down the corridor, you'll hear a groaning noise behind you. It's an enemy called a controller; it hits you with a psychic attack that you can't dodge. However, it can't use it if you're within a certain distance. So my advice is:
a) wait at the entrance of the corridor. When he comes around the corner, fuck him up with a sawed off (make sure you have one)
b) run to the end of the corridor and hide around the doorway. He'll start walking down the corridor. When he's within range, start throwing hand grenades through the doorway. This is how I dealt with him, it took two grenades to put him down.
c) once you're through the doorway at the end of the corridor, climb up one of the surface access ladders. The first one you come across won't let you access the surface. Climb as high as you can and pull out your trusty knife; as he walks underneath the ladder jump off and take him out prison style.
