Some other Syrian rebels are allied with al-Qaeda. Some of the rebels we backed lost their weapons to the other rebels, or otherwise formed operational alliances with other rebels to fight against Assad. Right wing TV/internet talkers in the US say HURR DURR Obama's helping al-Qaeda!!! Some soldiers get their news from right wing propaganda outlets, so it becomes "HURR DURR I DON'T WANT TO SUPPORT AL-QAEDA THANKS OBUMMMER!!!" You can't just kill everyone and then go "oh yeah nevermind they're all fine". Honestly I thought the whole show after episode 2 was shit, but that's just me. It's that bad? He had a fucking massive & an entire army to command or try to after shooting that dipshit general, I was under the impression that he'd be balls deep in it! I'm just saying that the first major part where the MC (who I lovingly refer to as autistic jesus, plot device extraordinaire) was good because they defeated the enemy in a clever way, but everything after that was boring or just them getting lucky. Also all of the characters are either severely one dimensional or, in the case of the MC, a device to advance the plot and absolutely nothing more. That's about all I want to say about it, but most of my opinions are in line with DemolitionD's "should you watch" on aldnoah.zero, so if you want to know more you can always look that up. Thanks, I think I will. For Aldnoah Zero, I don't think it was as conventional as showcasing one protagonist for even its first season. Autistic Jesus was definitely the one with more screentime, but that's because he had more mates, plus another girl who got her strangulation fetish with the princess on in that shower scene. Slaine was being built up in his own right, but if what everyone's saying is true in this, then its going to be underwhelming if he doesn't even get any fun in season 2 as well. I did as well, I enjoyed the end of season 1 to all hell. Season 2's ending however was completely lackluster.
