| currently reading Worlds finest with superman and batman lots of lolz are had Dude, I've read Batman comics since the 70s, saw the Tim Burton movie when it first came out, watched all the Cartoons, and saw Begins when it first came out. Batman has changed several times thematically and this was Chris Nolan's take on the character, not his take on someone else's version. He created a story with a very strong beginning, middle, and end and did so brilliantly. He shaped his version of Batman and you see the character grow and become what Chris Nolan wanted him to be. If you watch all three movies in a row you can really see what he did and in my opinion it is as much a masterpiece as Frank Millers "The Dark Night Returns", which also was a new take on the Character. I honestly don't know how anyone will ever make a better movie version of Batman. #631

eragonus (08/22/2012) [-] I am probably gonna get a lot of flak for this but I really didn't enjoy the third movie. The first two are in my opinion the greatest versions of batman in history but the newest one just didn't sit right. First off I'm gonna go ahead and attribute a bit of my dislike to having watched all three of them on release night, in a row, at the theater(had an awesome theater in town that did a marathon.) Rises lost the momentum of the second movie entirely and that didn't sit well. That pretty much killed the whole feeling for me. It was like starting at square one again. What really broke it for me though was the fact that the entire point of The Dark Knight was totally missed. That whole movie was Bruce learning the harsh lesson that in order to save Gotham he can't always be seen as the hero. He has to accept being what ever Gotham needs him to be. Then in the beginning of The Dark Knight Rises he we find that instead of learning that lesson he locked himself away and shut down. Harvey Dent's death meant nothing for the growth of Bruce Wayne. Of course to top it off, billionaire playboy pops into town, suddenly new superhero arrives, superhero disappears suddenly billionaire playboy disappears too. Eight years later Hero returns Suddenly Bruce Wayne. Not suspicious at all. Especially if you consider that He was only batman for roughly two years before going into hiding, and that's being generous. That gives him a whole year of screwing around as batman in the first film, the six months till Dark Knight, and then has that movie take 6 months. I did the Marathon thing to and to me it made the third even better. The whole point about Batman is he was suppose to be a symbol, a Symbol that could be what ever the city needed at any given time. In Dark Knight the symbol needed to become the villain so they could build up Harvey Dent and get laws passed that would allow the police to take the city back. Then Rises shows that when you build a system on a lie it will come back to haunt you and slowly crumble. You need that Symbol to change again back into that hero, a hero that is willing to sacrifice it's self for everyone, and then be Reborn in the hands of another (Detective Blake). Begins was all about building the Symbol DK was about tearing down the Symbol (Live long enough to become the villain) Rises was all about returning the Symbol and passing it on. That is why I liked it so much. #601

N. Korean citizen (08/22/2012) [-] What if I told you that people watched the shit out of these movies. Stop hating on it just because no one gave a fuck about how cool you thought Batman was before Christopher Nolan made it more interesting than Batman being an invincible detective that apparently has a plan to defeat everyone and everything. I know you cant read this but still *sigh* I don't hate these movies so how can I be hating >_> Get an account lazy twat | ||

| If you watched he cartoons all of them and know about his back ground you know these movies are a little off. Every time there is a super hero movie.... All aboard the Bandwagon every one was a spider man fan back when the films came out its the same thing here. currently reading Worlds finest with superman and batman lots of lolz are had Dude, I've read Batman comics since the 70s, saw the Tim Burton movie when it first came out, watched all the Cartoons, and saw Begins when it first came out.
