I saw some video here about the Ice King or whatever his name is, where it says he went insane because of his crown. Later I read about this fourth dimension tesseract bubble thing that created black holes with its shadow. Now, this is some next-level SCP-foundation shit, but I assumed those were just shining moments in the series. If this is what the show is actually like all the time, I've got to check it it out.

Adventure Time is really odd, but there are some pretty serious things. An entire continent got blown off the face of the earth, a guy was driven completely insane and he lost all of his memories, and a little girl who is basically immortal now is the only one to remember who he was... and her dad man... her dad ATE her fries. I mean, they were HER FUCKING FRIES, AND HE JUST ATE THEM. Glob, I'm sorry man, it just... it gets me whenever I think about it...
