Yes. He was in the Air Force. Stationed in Korea, he studied martial arts at the base. and learned a new kind of Martial Arts from a very respected teacher in the town outside of where he was stationed. Also, his name isnt chuck. It's Carlos. People started calling him Chuck in the military, because it was a shorter version of Carlos's Amercanized name. I read his Auto-Biography.
