Even the USAF has it classified with their Fixed Wing Aircraft...

The US Department of Transportation just recently back in 2013 requested that the FAA change it to a Fixed Wing Designation, the new civil BA-609 FAA Regulation say's any tiltrotor must meet requirements for both Fixed and Rotary Wings,

The V22 is only under helicopter regulations during take off and landings, during flight it goes back to Fixed Wing standards. Technically it is a Hybrid but IMO It's damn sure more Aircraft then it is Whirly Bird seeing as it still as a large ass fixed wing

Well Da Devil Dawgs better update their titles. M'reens are laughably outdated in Fixed wing and helo power, by the USAF and US Army respectively. They still fly Harriers and Glorified Hueys. The US Army flies stealth blackhawks, will soon have S-97 and Defiant. and the Air Force has the Raptor, stealth drones like Sentinel. Even the US Navy is soon to acquire the X-47B. Meanwhile the Marines have nothing truly new in their inventory.
