Well, I'm an atheist myself, and I don't usually comment on things like these, but away from the web, if you were to say anything pro-atheism or rejecting religion, a lot of the time you'd get things like in the image thrown at you, you could get beat up, taunted, a lot of unpleasant things. Religious people have their churches and bible studies, but where can non-religious people go? For some atheists and agnostics etc., it seems like the only place you can meet people and discuss your opinions is here on the internet, which is why a lot of anti-religion stuff gets dumped here, I think.

I completely agree with you, but i feel the reason there is many pro-atheist post is because society is more pro-Christianity, and maybe the FJ community believes this is a good place to express their feelings? just a guess.
