Pokemon sucked after the 3rd gen while Yu-Gi-Oh got better and better....then Zexel came out and I lost my faith in the show...The card game is still infinitely better though.

Well I would suggest you not watch it. To be honest, The first generation was all fun it had the biggest cheaters in all of yu-gi-oh existence. The GX generation focuses a lot on rulings in a very simple form with demonstrations. This is likely because no matter what anyone says, The game is not for kids. It's just far too complex for most kids to catch on to the rulings. Then, 5D's came out which seems to focus a lot on combinations and effects. It also does a lot of chaining which is a very complex matter with many rulings surrounding it. I assume zexal is a sorry excuse of a "Anyone can do it if you work hard enough." It just unfortunate that he's so bad at the game.

Not much at all. But it's because he's got some stupid luck and an extraterrestrial dueling spirit poking at the cards he needs to use. I mean Yugi could at least hold his own. He even built his own deck and beat Atem (yami yugi as most people know him) and the first generation of yu-gi-oh wasn't focused on rules very much at all. But this kid is just...hopeless...
