FBI (ANON) RISES
Trump leads in all branches, so you are wrong, but I wish that people would be nicer about it. :L
Chair Force physician checking in.
For the officers: the do-gooders, that is, the highly-educated yet highly naive are for Clinton (e.g. many physicians and many minority nurses). Conversely, physicians and nurses who were prior enlisted and/or lived the blue collar life are for Trump.
For the enlisted: mostly falls along racial/gender lines with minorities and women mostly for Clinton (but TBH, they are surprisingly uninformed of her policy history and stances). For the while males, as well the politically-informed women and minorities, they are for Trump.
Any boots-on-ground care to check in with their take?
I am in the Army (25A) which is what brought up my opinion. Most of the people I work with are 3rd party during this election.
Yeah of course the Army supports the guy who doesn't know what Aleppo is, despite World War 3 about to be fought over fucking Syria.
Are you retarded? the only reason I cant vote for him are because his views for the military (USAF Radio Tech reporting in)
if the military was ordered to fire on U.S. citizens, do you think that they would go through with it? I mean, from what you know or hear, at least, what do you think would happen if they were ordered to do so?
I can say with almost near certainty that 99% of the people in my unit would turn against the government if we were ordered to fire on citizens. Granted, I'm in the national Guard, so we're kinda closer to being citizens than active duty guys. It may not seem like a guard unit would even matter, but we could, at the very least, provide 20~ blackhawks to the local militia, and a slew of weapons (M4s, 50 cals, automatic grenade launchers)
its good that the military, even if at least your unit, is serving the people and not the old politicians
I seriously doubt it. At least on a massive scale anyways. Because of our culture and the way our military is set up, I don't think we really have the "indoctrinated" young men that a country needs to clean house and cement the fucked up government further. Neither do I think that our country is shitty enough for them to do it for their own interests. For the most part, I believe our military is made up of people that make a career out of it, or are just looking for a good way to start out.
But who knows, we have a big military made up of people from all over the world. Could be that interested parties could get enough numbers to achieve their goals. Not to mention how chaotic shit would be, since there would be other countries involved for sure.
If certain states decide to start talking about splitting though, that's an entirely different matter and I have no clue if anyone would even want to try that.
its good to know that the common people are still sane
didn't some general say a couple years ago that if they are ever ordered to fire on citizens they will turn on the government.
i hope that is the case.
i remember the videos of the people in Turkey being shot by their military, and it really, really is something gruesome.
it is something that i am afraid of
if there's a civil war in America, i dont doubt that foreign powers will try something like the US has been doing in the middle east, pushing for either a puppet government or supporting the side that would be most beneficial for them.
And if America destabilizes, practically the entire world's economy does.
i wouldnt be surprised if South Korea follows suite with their own revolution, considering all the things going on there right now.
And if South Korea is unstable, it's an opportunity for North Korea.
This is all coming to quite a big.. well.. climax.
As a man in the army and friends with others in the Army, Navy, Marines and AF, you are dead fucking wrong.
