I'm talking irl
But still, i don't have much interest in those characters, they're not explored enough to have interesting characters to me.
My favourite characters are those with great long histories, like Germany and his predecessors. And recent news, too, like them tearing down the Berlin wall memorial.
I like Gerita because the two character interest a lot and have a very long history as actual countries together (as do Britain and the Germanic states).
I like Spamano because Roma was an abused and neglected child and Spain, abeit unwittingly, saved him, just by paying him some attention. And the fact that Spain put himself in dept in trying to help Roma's economy goes far beyond a normal Empire and country, it's what a parent does.

Two things that annoy me (and shouldn't):
"Igirisu" okay, they don't have kanji for England, however, they're not calling him England, they're calling him English. "Igirando" Would be England. Also, he uses the Union Flag rather than the st george, so he should be Britain.
"Su-san" Finland, you're not Japanese, stop using honourifics.

I know. Apparently he represents both england and britian but that doesnt make sense seeing how scotland and ireland were already confirmed to exist. At least in the Dub they were told to get it right.
I hear Funi made a lot of sales with hetalia and has confirmed they'll be trying to get the rights, so hopefully we wont be waiting too long. (then again it takes months to dub but oh well)

They will be dubbing it as it's release in Japan, so we can get it as soon as it's finished airing over there.
Also, with Todd Haberkorn's Britain, they called him England, it's only Scot Freeman who played him as Britain. Which I'm glad of...Todd is great but he was a bit mocking, and I know it's the whole idea of Hetalia to be offensive, but come on, anyone can pronounciate properly and call it a "British" accent.
(honestly, I can't tell if that picture is fan made of canon, this is how much i dislike the new animation)

Todd Haberkorn played Britain for the entire first season, as well as Italy. However, during the editing stages they decided to go for another VA for Britain because Todd sounded too much alike in his voices (which is prbably why he didn't voice Romano, to, which contradicts the japanese in which both twins have the same seiyuu).
Also Vic Mignogna was going to be Italy.
And why does Russia have girly lashes? Seriously, at least the last four seasons looked like Himaruya's style.

Ah I see. I didnt know that. Well, Todd isnt the best person to do a range of voices plus he does sound slightly similar to the japanese Italy. At least, it worked out best in the end. Romano suits his lower voice.
I think its his chibi version. I dont know, Japan seems to go for moeblob nowadays.

Honestly, I think all the voices are spot on. Well, by the fourth season, they are.
The Nordics haven't had much screen time and Spain and Poland only got one line in the first episode- they sounded so different. In fact, Poland changed hugely between the end of season 3 and the start of season 4.
And Lithaunia is always changing XD
Switzerland is better in dub where he's at mannish boy, rather than a girlish man as he in the in the original (lol, he's Madame Red from Black Butler, Tao Ren from Shaman King and Ed Elric from FullMetal Alchemist)
Germany looks like a 12 yr old in this new season...I imagine him to be a 30 something guy. Even if he is one of the youngest countries.

The only voice I didnt like at first was Austria but it grew on me. I think it was only because I'm used to Chuck Huber having a serious tone.
Heh I noticed too. XD It must be hard though going a while not using an accent then having to do it again. But I still liked them all.
Funimation did get it right. I also like how they made France more pervy. To be honest, I really hate the japanese voices. Russia and China sound like 5 year olds and its irritating. I know China is supposed to be "the youngest looking yet oldest one" and Russia is childish, but their voices just make my ears bleed.
Yeah, it will take some getting used to. In the trailer I saw the bird on Prussias head and I just kept thinking of Gilbird.

Yeah. I hate 'aru' china uses especially when people use it when they "role play" I keep reading it in such a retarded voice in my head. Plus, isnt da yes?
Heh, it might just be my humour but I find it hilarious when they use words like that for english people. They also did it a few times with America like "brah" "cuz" "dude" Though its less because 'MURICA!

Fair enough, use Briticisms, like "well good" as an adjective, but "wanker" is a very strong word, way up there with cunt.
Yes "da" is yes. An "horosho" is handsome.
I have actually started referring to America as 'Murica when he's acting retarded. Also, "dude, bro, cos, yolo" etc are also used over here. In fact, "dude" is a Shakespearian word.

I am English you know...
Its just that those words are usually used when mocking an American sometimes. I mean, if you're not doing the texas version. "Yo duuuuuude aight RADICAL MAAAN" like a waynes world thing.
But I didnt know about the shakespeare thing.
Also that picture makes me laugh.
