The Dark Ages.

I'm an atheist. I don't care if you believe in God. If it makes you happy, more power to ya! Here is the problem: take the USA for example. The great majority of Americans say they would not vote for an atheist. So it is impossible for an admitted atheist to become president of the usa. Furthermore, we get people Like G. Bush in power ask God for advice on how to rule the country. Well, if God isn't there, who is he talking to? Himself! But, because he thinks it's God, he thinks there is some divinity to the ideas expressed.

Believe what you want, but let's work on ACTUALLY getting religion out of government and schools.

okay, time to get technical. If there is a higher power, it consciousness is much greater than ours, therefor, nothing we can do can determine what it wants with us, as our consciousness is infinitely inferior to its, lets compare it with our consciousness and a rock, a rock cannot determine what we want it to do, as it's consciousness is infinitely inferior to ours. With that in mind, the requirements to get into heaven cannot possibly be, believe this 1 thing, it will be an infinitely variable taking into account every single action we have done with soo much detail, our brains could understand. So, no matter what you believe, you cannot say you are more likely to get into heaven, your chances are sill on a 50-50 chance for everyone, as the higher power is infinitely complex and would use an infinitely complex method

Why would you even care if an Atheist goes to your dead body saying "I told you so", and how would they know? They wouldn't.
