the story takes place in the second world. first world yuno won the game, found out she couldn't reincarnate yuki, and went back in time, killed herself, thus creating an alternate timeline (2nd world). at the end, yuno went to go back in time with murmur again, and yuki went back with uryuu, and saved yuno when she was going to be killed, creating the 3rd timeline. then at the end, 1st world yuno killed herself hugging yuki, and 1st world murmur was put in the keychain on 3rd world yuno's phone.
