i'm an emt. i watched the reconstruction of a mans hand, projectile bloody vomit, and a "thug" (as his tats said) shit all over a hospital bed. i would rather see a pile of skin then the pony posts that you can never skip. but thats my opinion and i understand yours

As an EMT, do they give you training to help deal with graphic things like this? I've wanted to know for a while.

No. they just toss you in a hospital and back of an ambulance during training. what you see is up to the calls you recieve. theres nothing they can do to prepare you for this stuff. our teacher went on a call of a old woman that died and two weeks later was found. during summer and untouched in a bed. her everything was decaying and brown and syrupy. unpleasent stuff.

I can imagine. Even working for a railroad last year I saw a beheaded corpse and a scorched/torn in half one over the course of 3 months. Sometimes they show up in dreams and make them nightmares.

Living with fears isn't living at all. It happened for a reason, i'm an atheist but there has to be something good that came out of it somehow.

You learn to deal with it after a while; birth is just as much a part of life as death is after all. Sometimes things just make you grow up faster than others. Pic is of the locomotive cab the day after the burnt corpse.

Well, my opinion is more towards yours, actually. I'm not squeamish around blood or death at all. I've held too many people as they've died for that. But, by the same token, I also know people who pass out of you prick your finger around them by accident. If you don't like/can't stomach something, you just can't handle it. I'm in favor of a channel filter, honestly. Thanks for not being a dick though, I realize I came across snippy since I didn't say that much above. mea culpa.

Anyone can be a dick on the internet but that accomplishes nothing. Channel filter's a good idea.
