I'm not trying to prove the theory here, I was just stating the general idea behind it.
And yeah, there's a possibility that it isn't true, but I think the evidence is pretty overwhelming, and I believe it.
And the cool thing about fictional stories is that there isn't really such thing as "true."
Even if the developers didn't intend for this interpretation, that doesn't really mean you have to ignore it, it still makes for a satisfying story.

Just because they aren't going to make more stories about Shepard doesnt mean that the indoctrination theory is wrong, it just means that they're done talking about it.
Regardless of if the theory is right or wrong, they don't want to make one of the choices you make at the end the "cannon" choice. Maybe shepard chose to try to control them, maybe he chose to destroy them, they don't want to say because that would invalidate the choices of anyone who chose differently. Whether the theory is correct or not is kinda irrelevant to that.

Well that is well and good. But players imagination can only go on so far. The game may have ended the way you think it, but the reason I played ME was for Shepard. And the way he went out was bonkers. I really hoped it was a real thing and that EA was a mastermind.

I recognize there is an issue. I think it is blown way out of proportion from what it really is, but I do recognize an issue.

But I still don't see what bringing up Tulsa has anything to do with it. That's what's got me confused.

because people only see individual events. And because they only see one part, they dont realize that the issue is so much more set back in history. People always bring up the point that they destroy their own homes. Well here is a time in history where blacks were doing better than whites, and because of racial hatred, the whites took an issue and it ended up destroying a prosperous black town. So if blacks cant even be entitled to their own town, what does owning or being apart of anything mean?
