ok so i got about 55GB of stuff. how much quality would i lose uploading them then downloading them again? pics and audio and stuff. dont have much video

if its that much you will need an external. best then plugging it into a windows pc where the mac virus won't effect it. use the windows pc antivirus to check and clean the files. meanwhile using a macos install disc, format the drive on your mac and install fresh. then get your stuff off the external drive
#143 - baitdoesnttalkback (08/03/2014) [-]
thats actually a pretty good idea with the windows upload. cause a mac virus cant work on a pc right? and vice versa

on a side note there wouldn't happen to be a computer charity program you know about that gives out externals to low income households in need are there?

yeah they wouldn't effect each other but antivirus would still detect em. no idea on that one though. prolly go for a cheap one on ebay. I'd help you but we probably live on opposite sides of the planet.

yes but as soon as you connect the infected drive the virus could initiate when being scanned by the system. dodgyness

plugging in an external will probably end up with putting infected files on it. then when you restore to a fresh install you risk infecting the whole thing again.

i know this. but i cant do it without money.

mostly id like to save my pics/music files. and remember my passwords and stuff. but i know i cant have this computer for much longer. i cant do anything on here without risking my identity.
#95 - baitdoesnttalkback (08/03/2014) [-]
plus idk how to reformat really. but someone said with an external i can duel partition. only way to be safe on this computer
User avatar #102 - LePedobear (08/03/2014) [-]
well really you need to backup your pics online. on somewhere that will clean the files should they be infected. you're music may be infected or not. put them all on MEGA in a passworded folder. get a macos installation disc. tell it to wipe the drive clean and start fresh. then get your stuff back from mega or where ever you uploaded it.

I think the number of LED's is dependent on the model of car aswell.
User avatar #63 - LePedobear (07/26/2014) [-]
true. but for the big sections like the speedo and rev counter they always use like 2-8 lights spread around to light the whole things. so if you wanted to colour individual bits then putting tinted plastic would be better than trying to solder little SMDs directly behind the symbols on the faceplate. would end up too bright as well. It's a nice idea though. I once changed the regular warm white bulbs on my old nissan with some ice white led's. gave the dials a nice cool blueish white look. I'd do something similar on my cougar but they are already filtered green and red. so trying to put another filter on to alter that probably wouldn't yield great results... plus I can't be bothered/don't care, lol

Sometimes I walk into my kitchen out of habit and start making myself some food. Half-way through making it I remember I'm fasting and I'm like "oh digestive end product". There was also a time my Christian friend caught me eating by accident, he still doesn't let me live it down.
