I concur the hundreds of tomahawk missiles that had struck gaddafi's bases say other wise. It was a joint operation consisting of many countries of which america was a part of. As a Libyan i appreciate the support of any country and why not let them pat themselves on the back for not letting another Kosovo incident happen. Another thing is the intervention was called for by the Libyan people to the UN who gave the mission to NATO. Its not as if the US heard of a revolution happening and just came in uninvited. The US joined in the operation at its most crucial point when just hours before the full scale attack on the major city of benghazi (consisting of +1.5 million)

Well i would like to say that the mission in Libya was a success, even though USA had little involvement in it compared to other contributors but it was the support and initial attacks that count.

There was no actual mission. The U.S saw there was a revolution afoot and wanted to take credit for it. This was something that had been brewing for decades. Then the U.S walks in after the damn thing has boiled over and expects to be treated like they did something.

Oh wow, please tell me you're trolling. This isn't the greatest country on the earth anymore, it may have been a while back, but that's long gone. It's a great country, but we're not doing so well lately if you haven't noticed. The president is nothing more than a scapegoat with little say in what the country does. And our military is doing a bunch of shit, I'll give you that. But for the wrong reasons. They think they're doing a duty for the people of this country when they're really doing a duty for the politicians/big businesses. And I have a feeling if they knew that they wouldn't have joined in the first place. I think they feel as if though they are defending this country, which is great. We need defenders of this country. But in reality they're more on the offensive.

Uh, he's right. We went in to Iraq over 9/11 after it was Saudi Arabians that attacked us. Now the whole war is fueled by "omg terroristz", when in reality they aren't even really a threat. So basically we're in Iraq with little or no reason to be there. And do you know what Iraq has? Oil. Oil that the big money makers want. Then people join the military because they feel they are doing a duty to their country, when in reality they're just pawns for the big money makers. When I say money makers I mean not only large corporations, but also some politicians.

If you've got a flexible taste in music and about a week and a half to kill, check out the fan made music. Artists like General Mumble, Not a Clever Pony, Living Tombstone, Aviators, and Jackal App, etc... They're all over the place.

You CANNOT, in ANY way choose your sexual orientation. EVER. You're claiming the contrary. In the situation you keep falling back to, if a girl no longer dates guys but is not attracted to women, then she is still straight.

In some situations, such a thing leads to the realization that she is Asexual. This meaning she is just not sexually attracted to anyone regardless of gender. One of my closest friends identifies as such.

If I were to be trolling, this would be more targeted at you. Instead I am telling you just how and why you are wrong.

bro, I never said that you can choose your sexual orientation! I just said that those girls in that one scenario chooses to be gay or not. But even at that I believe that they would be bi in the first place. It would be her choice to experiment, but also her choice to only go out with girls because of her trauma with boys.

Maybe she does prefer to have sex with only females. But lets say she doesn't. Then, even though she prefers guys, she chooses to stay with females. Makes sense? :S

Ohh and I'm really curious, were you born Dual Gendered? :O Like you have both male and female reproductive parts, or just psychologically Dual Gendered?
User avatar #375 - LastCall (03/04/2012) [-]
Saying she "Chooses" to be gay is saying that she's "choosing" her sexual orientation.

It's one thing to choose to experiment. That's the one thing you CAN choose. That's when she finds out which ways she swings.

Both sets is referred to as being hermaphroditic.

I don't know man, if a guy cheats on a girl, and the girl gets really hurt, she is going to try to leave her heterosexuality behind. "Guys are stupid, i'm just going to date girls from now on".

I'm not saying this happens to every girl, just some girls. And undebatebly, this is a choice.
User avatar #233 - LastCall (03/04/2012) [-]
Yes, because we would CHOOSE to have people want to kill us, or attempt to do so. We would CHOOSE to have politicians blinded by a misinterpretation of their religion making laws against us.

Are you fucking kidding me?

In this hypothetical situation of which you have brought up. This would be the girl experimenting. If it turns out that she is attracted to women after all, and her relationships with women are more fulfilling, that means she was a lesbian the whole time.
Or maybe she was bisexual. Or women do nothing for her. Either way, you cannot choose your sexuality.

Take it from someone who actually knows. I'm Bisexual and Dual Gendered. Do you think I chose this? Do you have any idea what it is like to not have a solid gender in a Gender Binary based society? Do you think I would CHOOSE that!?
#362 - beefsteaktomato (03/04/2012) [-]
bro, I never said that you can choose your sexual orientation!

Saying she "Chooses" to be gay is saying that she's "choosing" her sexual orientation.

It's one thing to choose to experiment. That's the one thing you CAN choose. That's when she finds out which ways she swings.

Both sets is referred to as being hermaphroditic.

I fee like you didn't read my whole post and you are trolling me...
User avatar #572 - LastCall (03/04/2012) [-]
I'm speaking from experience.

#574 - beefsteaktomato (03/04/2012) [-]
You clearly haven't been in a relationship with a straight girl have you? With a girl like the stereotypical white girl, she would be attracted to the guy, but chooses to fuck with a girl. This is girl logic, and real. These kinds of scenarios happen all the time in America.
User avatar #575 - LastCall (03/04/2012) [-]
Let's play "Spot the Virgin"! OH! I won! There one is!

I've been in a relationship with a straight woman for the past 4 years solid. This "Girl logic" you folks like to think exists, doesn't. You have no experience in this matter, little boy.
#586 - beefsteaktomato (03/04/2012) [-]
This is pointless, I'm just going to stop arguing with you. You are clearly too immature to have a rational discussion without swearing, insulting, or name calling. I think we both know who the real little boy is.

Good day sir.
User avatar #589 - LastCall (03/05/2012) [-]
I'm the one with the real life experience here. All you little kids on the internet just go on about this "girl logic". BECAUSE YOU"VE NEVER BEEN IN A STABLE RELATIONSHIP! Wow!

You really wanna try and tell someone like me that one can just up and CHOOSE one's sexual orientation. You're a straight virgin. You've got NO knowledge on the subject.

You're just pissy because you're wrong. And were called out on it by a Drag Queen.
#204 - anon (03/04/2012) [-]
That definitely happens, but if the girl is straight she will almost always go back to guys eventually. If she tries dating a girl and realizes she enjoys it much more, then it still wasn't necessarily a CHOICE to be gay, simply that she realized it through a choice she made.
