Yeah but dude get this.. Right... Wait.. Right man time travel needs a time travel machine to be invented NOW to come back to this era, and I'm pretty sure 'Jesus' wasn't grooving around in one, you can't go to a place that doesn't have the same machine.

Just a thought

I find that time travel is relatively impossible. If the future hasn't happened yet, then there would be nothing to travel to. And even if someone traveled BACK in time, wouldn't that mean there would be nothing to return to? Due to there being no existing future?

My favorite is that everyone hates America for being the world police but now everyone is calling on us to do something. Such fuckin hypocrites man. Good for a laugh though.
User avatar #118 - nrwlz (03/07/2012) [-]
No other country is calling on america, its a bunch of american hipsters thinking that somehow the military can stop this guy without having to shoot up his army of kids.
#124 - revivalmode (03/07/2012) [-]
Who else is going to do something? No one.
User avatar #133 - nrwlz (03/07/2012) [-]
Im not saying I don't think something should be done, I'm saying how will they do it without the world hating us even more? No one is calling on us, the rest of the world doesn't care, so america will experience even more hate. When we actually get our troops over there, what are they supposed to do? Gun down an army of 30,000+ kids and kill the guy? Thats the only viable option, other than one soldier risking his life to possibly assassinate kony. What would you have them do? Again, I really wish there was some way to help, and if there is its definitely not to make a charity for the purpose of spending millions of dollars making some movie. I'm sure that everyone that wants to be aware is aware now.
#143 - revivalmode (03/08/2012) [-]
that's what I'm saying. Why should we do something? It works out bad for America either way. I say leave them alone. Guys like Kony are a dime a dozen.
User avatar #149 - nrwlz (03/08/2012) [-]
so many miscommunications today, I thought you were going a different direction with that. Sorry, and I agree. If we help there will inevitably be casualties for the kids, and if we don't we are scumbags for not being the world police people expect us to be whenever its in their best interests.
#206 - revivalmode (03/08/2012) [-]
Those are my thoughts exactly. I can't help but laugh at people who want to take action on this with the military. I bet a good portion of them are the ones that are hating on America for the middle east. Oh and god forbid if one child gets killed from an American bullet.
User avatar #117 - thegamegestapo (03/07/2012) [-]
At what point did we say "America should do this"? It's called "International Co-operation" perhaps people wouldn't "hate" America quite so much if they tried it
#126 - revivalmode (03/07/2012) [-]
Lol america doesn't comply with International Co-operation. That's hilarious. The only way this guy would be taken down is by a military strike. Then it's just another bloody fight that America would have to fight. No thanks. Keep posting a video and acting like you're so much better than everyone though. Even though you have done nothing.
#346 - thegamegestapo (03/08/2012) [-]
I know you don't comply with other countries... Consider the following:

1) The US doesn't veto a UN resolution and allows it to pass in the Security Council
2) That allows a legal intervention that the US doesn't necessarily need to be involved.

But that won't happen because that would mean the US government would have to acknowledge it wasn't the supreme authority on the planet.

It was an American president that set up the League of Nations after the First World War for this purpose. It genuinely pains me to see how low you've dropped to the level that if it doesn't involve you directly then you don't give a damn.

#348 - revivalmode (03/08/2012) [-]
You people don't want us to be the police of the world. Now all of a sudden you do? Make up your mind. If America was the country that had to go and kill every bad guy then we would have to switch every single penny of the budget to the military and not give a fuck about anything else. It would be a full time job. That's why if it's not going to harm the U.S. in any way then we will not intervene. That's what you guys want right? Let them be. You guys made that pretty clear after Vietnam and the Middle East. I'd rater us just let it be. Oh and even if we did go in there. God forbid one of the kids gets killed by an American bullet or air strike. Oh lord every American soldier would be a pig and a child killer and be spit on. Nah I'd rather see us chill out and not give a fuck. We have our own problem. Africa is a shitty dystopian society. What do expect from a place like that? Puppies and flowers 24/7? The problem is way way deeper than Kony.
User avatar #349 - thegamegestapo (03/08/2012) [-]
I didn't say you needed to get your hands dirty by actually fighting. In fact I explicitly stated that we'd rather you didn't. Perhaps I better explain it a little better.

The UN security council has 15 members, 5 of which are permanent and have the ability to veto any decision (meaning it cannot be passed regardless of what the other countries decide)

One of the permanent members is the US.

Since 1984, China and France have vetoed 3 resolutions each; Russia/USSR 4; the United Kingdom 10; and the United States 43. That's more than double the number of vetoes from every other member combined.

The United States screws up every attempt at humanitarian intervention that doesn't benefit itself. Fact.

As for your comment about Africa. Agreed, the place is a hell hole. Yes Koby is only part of the picture. But perhaps it's a better cause that chasing some bogus about the Iranians.

Gotta' start somewhere.

#350 - revivalmode (03/08/2012) [-]
Why would we get involved with stuff if it doesn't benefit us? Thats just simple business. If you want to throw away money to try to "help" Africa be my guest. It's a lost cause. If it's not harming the U.S. then we aren't going to get involved. Easy as that. We have our own problems. Do you realize how much time and resources it would take to fix Africa? More than any country has. They don't really help themselves either.
User avatar #351 - thegamegestapo (03/08/2012) [-]
At the very least let other people do it. Your government stops other countries doing just that. Hell you wouldn't even sign the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child so you could keep making fried minorities in your electric chairs. How does it feel to be the only country on earth (excluding Somalia because it's not technically a country)?
#352 - revivalmode (03/08/2012) [-]
Oh please tell me how you "fix" this. Kill Kony and then we all cheer and high five and then Uganda and Africa is a perfect utopian paradise. Sounds easy enough to me. Theres no way that Ugandan government is just as bad if not worse right? There's no way that this bullshit invisible children organization is doing more harm than good right? You think only minorities get the chair? Im not even going to touch that.
User avatar #353 - thegamegestapo (03/08/2012) [-]
Unlike Americans the ICC would rather Kony stood trial. The UN has done a lot of good word and stabilised a lot of places in the past.

Look at the figures, I'm aware that it's not just minorities that are executed but the vast majority are.
Interesting fact: America has no African American senators but has more in prison than college.
#354 - revivalmode (03/08/2012) [-]
Oh wow Kony is on trial and goes to jail. Then someone takes his place and we are right back to where we were. <-- There you go. Also it's not my fault that all the niggers in the ghetto would rather commit crimes than go to college like myself.
#355 - thegamegestapo (03/08/2012) [-]
Does the word "stabilise" mean nothing to you?

Are you really that stupid or did you take lessons? It's not about choice of committing crimes. I assume you're a big fan of "The American Dream"?

#356 - revivalmode (03/08/2012) [-]
No. Stabilise means nothing to me. Stabilize does tho. You think you can stabilize Africa by taking out one guy? And you call me stupid? That's hilarious. Oh and I'm living my own American dream. I'm not too worried about what anyone else has to say about it.
User avatar #357 - thegamegestapo (03/08/2012) [-]
stabilising - causing to become stable; "the family is one of the great stabilizing elements in society"
Stabilize is the American (wrong) spelling moron...

We had a variant of the "American Dream" once in the UK, then we the 19th century ended...

You've completely missed my point, stabilising Africa is about more than Koby. It requires a lengthy campaign of building infrastructure (schools, economy, ect). Not everything can be solved by blowing stuff up you know.

#358 - revivalmode (03/08/2012) [-]
If you wanna throw all of your country's money away be my guest. America will be no part of it.
User avatar #359 - thegamegestapo (03/08/2012) [-]
Back to this? Do I need to spell it out?

No. One. Asked. You. To. Do. Anything. Other. Than. Not. Get. In. The. Way.

Clear?
#368 - revivalmode (03/08/2012) [-]
You probably have said yourself that no one should be the police of the world. Well no one should be the police of the world. Let them deal with it themselves.
User avatar #370 - thegamegestapo (03/09/2012) [-]
No single nation no. The UN on the other hand... It'd be nice if you Yanks let the less corrupt countries do the job you are clearly incapable of doing.

#375 - revivalmode (03/09/2012) [-]
Like I said. Let's waste time fixing Africa before we fix ourselves. Good idea.
User avatar #376 - thegamegestapo (03/10/2012) [-]
Like I said. Who caused that debt again?

Did it occur to you that perhaps a few more countries doing trade might help the economy? Also it's not like first world countries don't have enough money, it's just distributed badly.
#373 - revivalmode (03/09/2012) [-]
Yea lets waste all of our time on Africa when most of the west is in a shit ton of debt. Great idea brother. That would be a 24/7 365 job. Africa is a lost cause. The only thing its good for is slaves and diamonds.
User avatar #374 - thegamegestapo (03/09/2012) [-]
Remind me who caused that debt again? Oh yeah... tell you what. How about you give up your permanent seat on the UN security council since you clearly don't intend to be involved in any more conflicts?
#371 - revivalmode (03/09/2012) [-]
You think you're capable of fixing Africa? Lololololoolololol How is it with your head in the clouds?
User avatar #372 - thegamegestapo (03/09/2012) [-]
I think the rest of the world could if people like you didn't get in the way. The irony is that America isn't that much more civilised than most of Africa itself.

Let me know when the richest nation on earth stops having 13 million homeless...
#360 - revivalmode (03/08/2012) [-]
Alright then. Do all you want. If the U.N. is doing something that means that the U.S. will be helping too. Nope. Do it yourself.
User avatar #361 - thegamegestapo (03/08/2012) [-]
We can't because you keep vetoing any attempt! Jeez it's like arguing with rock...
#366 - revivalmode (03/08/2012) [-]
Is that why we supplied everything for Libya?
User avatar #367 - thegamegestapo (03/08/2012) [-]
While I could argue that you didn't, that would be because your government benefited from that cause politically and economically.
#364 - revivalmode (03/08/2012) [-]
Yes we do. We don't want to be a part of it. If the U.N. is doing something then that means that America is also doing something. I'd love to live in the fantasy land that you live in where Africa can be fixed. Or at least let me in on the good shit that you have. Uganda in one country west of Somalia. The whole region is fucked.
User avatar #365 - thegamegestapo (03/08/2012) [-]
You clearly don't understand how the UN works. You wouldn't be required to do anything.
#362 - revivalmode (03/08/2012) [-]
Yea I know. Because we don't want to get involved. We shouldn't wasting time on that shit hole. You're the one not getting it. Nothing will ever help them. Especially when a majority of the country is a vast dystopian lawless anarchy. I know I don't want my country wasting its time on this shit.
User avatar #363 - thegamegestapo (03/08/2012) [-]
You don't need to veto it though... You don't need to be involved if you don't veto it.

Perhaps it wouldn't be such a "dystopian lawless anarchy" if we could do something about it.
User avatar #135 - nrwlz (03/07/2012) [-]
gamegestapo is saying that every country would need to cooperate for this to work, but seeing as no other countries seem to give a shit (as far as I know), thats not gonna happen.
#142 - revivalmode (03/08/2012) [-]
Unless he's hurting America I'm not worried about it. We cant just go into every country that has a bad guy. Until he says he will turn his attacks towards America nothing will be done. If we started hunting down every bad guy we would have to take everything and shift it towards the military because it's a never ending job.
User avatar #148 - nrwlz (03/08/2012) [-]
You're right, but no one is really expecting anything from america here. WW2 it was all, Oh america why aren't you helping (all the while we are trying to remain neutral by sending supplies to europe ans such), then when we get involved because of the japanese, everyone blames us for meddling and only trying to help our selves. Similiar with the middle east conflicts today. I wish we could help with this, but it just isn't possible considering that everyone will ridicule us if we attack an army of 30000 kids (which is inevitable) and if we don't everyone says we are scumbags and that we're all penny pinchers.
