ive been playin a nord mage for the last 2 days and its a good way to go im using a 2 handed axe as my secondary weapon and im using heavy boots and gauntlets with a mage robe

why? if you dont mind me asking

in purist thought. you should have all clothing/light armor as to level and gain any set bonuses you may have. as well if you have the mage armor ability from alteration and don't plan on wearing any dragon priest masks (as they count at heavy armor). also you should ALWAYS have a spell in your hand. So a one handed weapon would always be better in that respect. It's mostly just not good to mix armors.

i focused on magic and heavy armor right from the begining so to get maximum affect out of it i also used magic from the begining but when you run out of magicka you have to wait to let it recharge so i started using 2 handed weapons and being a nord i already had a jump start with it and when my magicka has again recharged i switch back and go dual spells usually dualing destruction spells

it just hurts me seeing heavy armor being used with any other school of magicka than restoration. Just personal preference though.

i thought it was odd myself at first but its actually more fun than it sounds and the heavy armor makes for a large defense bonus. Also i find heavy armor looks the best in the end anyways

anyway if you didnt know mage armor makes spells that increase your armor rating by a lot. (ultimately dragonhide Caster ignores 80% of all physical damage for 30s and ebony flesh plus 100 armor rating) last like 3 times as long. and if you get 100 enchanting and enchant a bunch of things to increase enchanting then enchant a bunch of things from your favorite school of magicka to cost less while a enchanting potion is active you can make spells cost about 3 percent compared to the 100 percent with heavy armor on.

I grew up playing final fantasy but i was with my cousin this weekend and got to watch my first dragon being killed, I was just bein a douche, but Skyrim is very good also so many dragons :DDDDD:DDD:DDD:DDD:DDDD but final fantasy has a special place in my heart as my favourte games ever.

I've never had fun with any game of the Elder Scrolls series. The only RPG game I had fun with, was Fable 1 and 2.

I never said it was overrated because it was boring. It's overrated because it makes a huge amount of hype and makes such a big deal over a game that's not even fun. Like, CoD. It's majorly overrated, but it's still fun to play.

A large open world RPG with tons of freedom to do what you want. It's very fun. actually.
