Still badass concept, probably wouldn't be too hard to ACTUALLY make. Although, the full leg wouldn't be necessary it looks cool.

They might try to communicate with it or destroy it but most likely they'd ignore it. Early humans are a lot smarter than owls. Most mammals are smarter than owls. Birds are really dumb.

How do you tell if someones high? Don't worry, they'll fucking tell you.
User avatar #55 - straitedge (12/07/2014) [-]
People tend to do that because they get paranoid about whether or not what they said sounded right, so in an attempt to negate the chances of someone yelling at them immediately about them potentially not making any sense, they'll let you know why they don't make sense.
Kind of like someone saying that they're really tired at the end of a sentence.
Now those little kid stoners. That's all the fucks talk about.

I already have a couple of handmade thongs. my teacher said it's important to do your own equipment. not the best ones, but hey I'm still learning. I have so far only done some basic everyday work object like a shovel, hoe, candlefoot and that kind of stuff. I just wish that I'd have some work stuff at home... I have a car garage at my apartment that I never use and have to pay the rent for, I think I can turn it a decent sized home workshop.
thanks for your tips. I think I'll go check my local junkyard if I find anything useful.

Pretty much! Also improvising is also nice. Like, your first anvil can be a bit of railroad track, use vicegrips as tongs, make a forge out of car wheel rims and invest in a decent angle or belt grinder to fix shoddy workmanship as you learn. Once you know the principles, you can make equipment out of a lot of things.

hello.
I'm a blacksmith student. don't have my own workshop but I'm studying at a pretty good place. how much did your anvil cost? where did you get it? I want my own stuff so when I'm no longer a student I can do shit at home or at some rented warehouse with a couple of guys
User avatar #80 - Karraidin (11/29/2014) [-]
Not sure my advice would be relevant for you because my shop was in Romania and I just bought stuff at flea markets or tracked down people whose grandparents were blacksmiths. I mostly gave free beer to people and asked around.
However, iforgeiron.com has a really good community that has tutorials about most things blacksmith. I suggest making an account. PM me for any other questions if you wish.
