Process of execution, actually, is a better term. The imprisonment of the death row inmate, the cost of execution, and the cost of 'disposal' to whichever point it extends. Death row inmates cost an average of 90,000 more to imprison, but none of the sources I've read through explain why that is; it's likely a shitload of smaller things that are adding up, and any of them can be removed to average the same cost as a life inmate.

Secondly, because of that, I don't think it's entirely proper to compare the costs of the trial when there are so many variable factors that can extend/decrease the costs of the trial alone. To that point, I think it would be more effective from a financial standpoint to compare the cost of just the execution (which is already absurdly expensive) vs the actual cost of imprisonment from the verdict onward. In that case, the costs of execution can be reduced dramatically if the concept of "humanity" weren't so retarded.

www.deathpenaltyinfo.org/costs-death-penalty the costs are way different and nowhere near objectively the same
#36 - suckthesack (09/20/2015) [-]
on top of that for some reason deathrow inmates cost twice as much as regular and some of these trials last 5-10 years douvble that and you got 10-20 years. add the difference in the trial cost it can vary alot from 10 years up to 60

#38 - Kanoah (09/20/2015) [-]
The reason that death row trials cost more is because the process is significantly extended, like it points out in your source. If the death penalty is sought before the inmate is proven, then the entire operation is hindered by the participants in the trial, extending it and increasing costs. Apparently, people feel less bad about condemning someone's entire life away as opposed to executing them, effectively reaching the same goal in the end. Ultimately, the public moral stance on execution needs to change before the process can be improved in either direction.

things seem fair to me, but to be honest, I'm just getting back into it, same as you. This time around I'm actually killing people with Elise though, I think she got buffed just a little bit. She was my main for a while but then got nerfed and nerfed and nerfed
#20 - genocidalhamster (09/16/2015) [-]
Elise got a buff and is op as shit early game, swain is still pretty good, but its more of a tanky juggernaut meta now.

Yeah, new champs are always op and then subsequently nerfed over and over. I like Swain because he was op when he was introduced and then never adequately nerfed, so going mid with him can absolutely shred the enemy team
