 I don't know what to say to you anymore. I've tried to explain my thought possess as best as I can but I'm clearly failing at that. You're fixating too much on my words and not the intent behind them. Maybe it's because I said my mum pick me up occasionally and you're thinking I mean she carries me around like I'm 1, maybe it's something else. At any rate you have my 2 bits and That's all I can give to this conversation without it devolving to "yahuh, nuhuh". Good day sir. The entire point I'm making is "So what?." You're using your experience to claim that it's abnormal, but the end result is the same, and there doesn't have to be any meaning behind not picking a baby up anymore once they're alright walking on their own. That's all there was to it, and I think you missed that. | ||

| It's not just about showing affection though. It's about showing support and love. It's a about the kid being the most important thing in your life and a willingness to do anything to help them. And to a parent it doesn't matter if you're 5 or 50, When life shits on you, you're always their little boy or girl. I don't know what to say to you anymore. This is when they were little and siblings say they're gonna marry each other cause they're small and that's what siblings do. (The reason she developed a brother complex is because Manami got paranoid as fuck when they were little, and told Kirino to bury any affectionate feelings she had. The siblings stopped talking, ruining their development as siblings, Kirino's latent feelings for Kyousuke didn't go away like they normally would have (because of fucking Manami), and shit goes from there. Kuroneko is the most selfless (and intelligent) of them all. She understands what's going on, loves Kyousuke but knows he loves Kirino, and lets them be together at her expense. Poor Kuroneko, god damn The way I see it, her and Kirino love him the most genuinely (makes sense, them being rivals and whatnot) and want what's best for him. Kirino just gloats about it cause let's be real, she's kinda a little shit. TL;DR Everything is Manami's fault, she only cares about her own happiness and doesn't give a shit if Kyousuke doesn't live up to his potential in life because of it. Manami a shit. | ||

I have a very touchy family, we pick each other up a lot and I get that not everyone's like that. Point is that very few people ( no people to my knowledge) stop picking each their kids up by the time they reach 2 or 3 years old. Just imagine some kid about 10 or 11 years old falling out of a tree breaking his leg. You think his mom or dad is going to refuse to pick him up because he's too old? Or to use a more common example, remember when you were that same age and you would fall asleep on the couch or in the basement and what have you? You would always wake up in your bed, right? You never stop being your parent's child because you get too old. I used my personal example, which I know is an extreme, to try to emphasize this point. It's not just about showing affection though.
