Secondly, just because socialist policies work in the U.K doesn't mean they will work in the U.S. The biggest factor you're ignoring is the people; quite frankly, a massive amount of the population are completely against socialist programs, especially the concept of free healthcare and social benefits. Without the American people's support, which is almost guaranteed to not go through, Bernie Sanders doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of actually changing anything.

The U.K is incredibly different in political structure though, the area where it counts. The U.S' issue is in its deficit and the way we've been spending our money for decades; that problem isn't going to be fixed in a single or even double term of a president. Bernie Sanders' ideas rely on the prospect of increasing spending (something we're trying not to do) so that his social reforms have the ability to work; but because of the money problem, excluding the unlikely possibility that his reforms will even be passed by congress, means that he is not the best choice. Quite frankly, there isn't a best choice this election.

but I still think armor hindering their ability to use their firearms was a factor. the armor that was heavy enough to stop the bullets was also the stuff that severely hindered the person wearing it from using firearms. And the armor that is light enough to not be a hindrance was not enough to stop the bullets.
