Dude, no. Cat's claws are designed to help them climb trees and avoid predators, sometimes they can only do this with their fornt claws and that's ok. Cats can still climb and pull themselves under things with just their claws. It doesn't cause them any pain. A better eqation to the human anatomy would be wolverine. Cats CANNOT support their entire weight on their front claws without harming themselves. To make it worse that cat's arms are hyperextended so it can't get out of that position on it's own, which the owners seem to find hilarious.

I would just like to point out that if I want a gun, right now, I have 2 options. I go to a store, fill out a form, have them run a background check, and possibly have to wait 3 days for verification, or I make a couple phone calls, and end up buying one with no paperwork or wait out of some guy's trunk. If I truly wanted a gun, right now, I'd take the first option because it's the legal way. If guns were outlawed, and the first option became unavailable to me, I'd still have the second option.
#303 - Jowi (12/13/2015) [-]

#306 - Jowi (12/13/2015) [-]
You're still going to have mass access to weapons that can be used to kill people. All it takes is one person with an issue and you can't know where any gun is at any time.
Teaching people how to use, maintain and properly store a weapon isn't going to stop that happening.

I live in Britain and we have pretty much an outright ban on guns with a few exceptions. The number of homicides here is much lower especially from fire arms and we very rarely have mass shootings

I doubt this is true but my biggest problem is that this discounts how the shooters actually obtained their guns.

For example, the Sandy Hook shooter took them from his mother and killed her.
The most recent two terrorists illegally purchased their weapons from someone else and then illegally modified those weapons.

Also consider that mass shootings are an incredibly small portion of total gun homicides.

And also consider that your probability of getting "gunned down" has only been decreasing despite an _increase___ in firearms and gun rights in general.

You really should consider the issue of guns from this perspective: There are 300 million or so guns in this country and yet our gun crime is as low as it is.
No country can come close in having that many guns that AREN'T used to kill people.
#238 - secondlawprevails (12/11/2015) [-]
Well part of that is someone else's legally purchased weapons. Can you pull up any statistics that show how many of those guns were directly purchased by the people that used them? Not to be a jerk but if you're going to go around making clams like that, you're going to accept the burden of proof.
#250 - Jowi (12/11/2015) [-]
I think very often it's not them that bought them considering the number of school children who commit the attacks. Instead they steal their parents' weapons because they're too stupid to keep them properly secured.

It's an issue either way if legally bought guns are being used to commit crimes anyway in my opinion

#5 to #4 - Jowi (03/18/2014) [-]
That's cool. And I'm not so sure about that. FJ, despite everything, is quite accepting of the more taboo aspects of life. For example there is a delicately named account of faggitboy who is also transgender and is on the **** page who has quite a lot of thumbs from butt-plug related photos and she also posted a picture of herself on that content about posting attractive guys photos to increase the amount of women that come to the site, you may have seen it. Anyway she openly came out as transgender then and all the replies I saw were glowingly positive ranging from "boner what are you doing" to just openly saying "dude, you're ******* hot".
You don't have to do anything as brash as that I'm just saying you don't need to be afraid around here, we're all comrades when it comes down to it. For a lot of us we're the family and friends that we lack in the real world and some of the nicest things I've ever seen have happened on this site.

Anyway all the best with it
