He was a real person. However there is no evidence that would indicate him being the son of God, and there were several other people around that time period that had similar "powers" and were crucified and things like that.

also its historically accurate that Saint Peter held too much respect for jesus to be crucified in the same manner therefore he requested to be upside down.

There is no contemporary evidence for jesus. The earliest pieces of the new testament were written between 30-60 Years after his death.
And the supposed account of Josephus is even accepted by the catholic church to be a fake.
There is absolutley no contemporary historical evidence.

The earliest historical account of christians in general, including jesus was in th 3rd century AC.
Thats a lot of time away from contemporary.

And even if jesus existence could be proved that'd be a looong way from proving the miracles.
