I prefer to watch dubbed simply because I find them easier to follow. However I will watched subbed if I really want to watch it but can't be bothered waiting for dubs. Such as Kill la Kill and No Game No Life
User avatar #124 - mewxchii (18 hours ago) [-]
I prefer subs over dubs mostly because to me, the voice acting is better. I feel the Japanese actors are more expressive and fitting to each anime character. I also really like how the language sounds as well which is more of a difference between us and our opinions.
When I watch dubs I realize how American voice actors will (not surprisingly) treat the anime like a little kids show. It sounds like the characters are little kids. The voice expression or rather tone makes it sound like the characters are being mocked. Which brings to be another (small) reason why dubs kind of annoy me.
I'm sure you know that there are little kid animes and adult animes. I don't want the animes that are fun and interesting to feel like its being ridiculed.
My final reason is I guess how bad I felt for even liking anime after seeing how weaboo type people act. They won't stop me from a interest in a type of show but I've realized most of the dubbed animes are weaboo fan favorites. I guess it just drives me away from dubs even further.

So yeah those are my reasons. I didn't really want to be so detailed but in your comment it sounded like you wanted a real response opposed to yours. I hope this helps!
And..seriously man.. don't be afraid to post your opinions. I know people are harsh here but you have to just ignore them.

Yes thumb for you.
First time I've ever heard the "makes it feel like a kids show" argument and I have to agree with you for some shows.
However a lot of the japanese actors are females, which gives big manly characters silly voices and they always sound like they are shouting in a way too high pitch (all characters I mean).
As for the language sounding nice, I can respect that, but for me it's takes too much away from watching the show, when you spend half the show watching words at the bottom of the screen

I disagree, and I think Dark Souls has some great game design seeing as how there's actual thought put into enemy placement and options to deal with them, as opposed to just throwing enemies at you and letting you hack and slash your way through the game.

While I do see where you're coming from with your points, at the same time it's very much risk vs reward. If you do a plunging attack, or even just a normal slash, you should know how far your character is going to move and should compensate for it, especially if there's dangers nearby such as a cliff. Honestly I think it's what's part of what makes the single player experience great.

That said, I really dislike the online because of the inconsistency in things, again like you said with swinging and getting hit, but unable to do the same back because of lag. I don't think you can really consider this a part of the game's inherent difficulty or poor design though, it's more just inconsistent online play and unfortunate lag, and you're playing against other humans. I still think the single player design part of the game is fantastic however.

Lol I'll say it here.

Is cuz I trans and I know FJ ain't too hyped about that now
#5 to #4 - Jowi ONLINE (03/18/2014) [-]
That's cool. And I'm not so sure about that. FJ, despite everything, is quite accepting of the more taboo aspects of life. For example there is a delicately named account of faggitboy who is also transgender and is on the NSFW page who has quite a lot of thumbs from butt-plug related photos and she also posted a picture of herself on that content about posting attractive guys photos to increase the amount of women that come to the site, you may have seen it. Anyway she openly came out as transgender then and all the replies I saw were glowingly positive ranging from "boner what are you doing" to just openly saying "dude, you're ******* hot".
You don't have to do anything as brash as that I'm just saying you don't need to be afraid around here, we're all comrades when it comes down to it. For a lot of us we're the family and friends that we lack in the real world and some of the nicest things I've ever seen have happened on this site.

Anyway all the best with it

Not much older than yours, but yeah I've been here a while. Since '05 i believe but I didn't sign up till they created the NSFW section haha.

If you're interested in the content it's still 9th on the front page, title "Are you sexy as **** ?"
