Just wanted to let you guys know about Mancraft. The equivalent of PolarStar for the sniper/bolty world. shop-mancraft.com/en/

Been in the game for ~11 years and doing tech work most of that time. Only thing I haven't taught myself is GBB. If anyone wants to chat about airsoft stuff let me know.

I feel you on the multicam, here in chile they tend to ignore hits and use 500 fps M249s only shooting full auto. hate multicam users save for 2 teams, ISAF Rangers and the 4th patrol. Damn good players, always call their hits and play fair.

Bullets jamming in the hopup can be caused by using the wrong bucking. I had that problem with my AUG. It would double feed on semi and the first shot on full auto.

Yeah, tell me about it.. A pic of my friend covered in me and my housemates guns. (and that's not even all of them..)

I'm a big fan of carbines and short rifles, but when I go long, I go long.
-ICS MX5A4, Madbull gemtech G5 QD suppressor, generic Red dot reflex sight
-Krytac CRB, generic flip up irons, generic Aimpoint. I still don't replace the orange flash hider, not until the warranty wears off. Damn good for a stock gun, I think I'd only switch the barrel for a PDI 6.05, and the bucking for a flat hopped prometheus purple.
-KJW P226, all stock. I modeled an osprey k 45 suppressor, going to print it soon.
-And last but not least, Snow Wolf Barrett M82. The bipod was broken, so I removd it and installed a G36 handguard rail under it, and a harris bipod. 50mm variable zoom 3-9x scope with sunshade, knockoff MIAD grip modified to fit this gun, and the hi cap internals of the magazine were replaced with mid-cap. Muh 90 shots in a semi auto .50 BMG, no mag rattle. Gonna try to make some Pmags for this baby, currently my pet project. No rush on finishing the upgrades.

The ashbury has a different loading mechanism than most bolters. the magazine doesn't have a feeding lip, and it goes where it should. It's awfully unreliable. Let me try to explain.
the hop up chamber goes on the right part of this feeding ramp, and there's a hook on the cylinder head, that fishes the bb out of the magazine, and rolls it on the ramp till it's in front of the cylinder head, and in the chamber.
the magazine goes on the left part, under the screw. bbs jam after leaving the mag, and before entering the chamber.
I mean, it's a flawed concept. I respect ASG for trying to make a VSR compatible spring sniper with realistic mag placement, but it could have been done a lot better. (I mean, it's a 600 buck sniper...)
I think the gas versions of Marui L96 have a similar loading mechanism, so the mag can hold the bbs and the gas. Being marui, I think it should work like a breeze.
Anyways, a pretty nice "fix" for the mahazine on L96 or VSR snipers is to cut an M14 mag, and cut a slot into the gun's body. Then you put the thing in the thing, and suddenly your springer looks a lot better. Done it myself, here's the link. imgur.com/a/PaWmi

Bb's jamming in a bolty can feed jam because of worn or broken feed stopper.

But enough tech shit, I see someone is a bullpup fan, huh? I always say I'll eventually get an AUG but I don't think it'll happen. I would just give in and make it another DMR. I have enough of those. Hell right now I'm debating purchasing a friends M14 with a JAE stock. I can justify that because I dont yet have a nice 7.62 or similar caliber.

If you get the real deal, there should not be anything at all. Can you not tighten it to make the wobble stop?

I tried to remove the spring pin that holds it with proper tool sand a hammer, but it wouldn't budge
I don't want to teflon tape anything that would see frequent movement, and real steel magpul can't be shipped outside the U.S, so getting the PTS would be my best option.

^Fully agree with the VSR-10. If you want to snipe, this is a pretty good weapon.

Anything by Tokyo Marui is basically not gonna break on you. Some of the highest quality you can get in airsoft.

Boy, do I know. If I ever get a springer again it's going to be Marui. Maybe a PDI M40A3.
My first springer was an ASG Ashbury asw338lm, man it looked awesome. it's performance was shit, and everything but the cylinder head and the hop up chamber was vsr compatible. I could have lived with it, if the hop chamber wasn't shit and bbs didn't jam all the time in the feeding ramp. I got rid of it, and got a Barrett M82 instead, bolt action didn't agree with me too well. I've always been a sucker for Barretts, I had to get one eventually. It's been about a year and a half, never used it, still not upgraded it. It's my pet project, slow and steady.
The money we spend on this sport...

I have not had any issues with it. Locks in place perfectly, never had it jump on me.
I'll be honest, it's not a real Magpul, it's some cheap copy. But even then it has not caused me any trouble, it's sturdy and reliable.

I actually got myself a cheap knockoff one, the friction lock lever is just decorative, so it wobbles like jelly on my M4. I'm getting a PTS one on my next shopping spree.
