criminals can get their weapons in the first place because there arent propper gun laws

a match is a basic tool used in day to day life i dont see how you can use a gun to cook things or light your fireplace

also dont see me as a bad person please im just trying to prove my point by trying to give valid arguments in a non agressive way

hahaha you should doubt people that go all rage mode talking in caps not people that like to have a nice argument from time to time to train their minds in coming up with quick counterarguments
its nice training for writing things for school if you have to prove a point
User avatar #170 - Jewssassin (12/21/2012) [-]
I never said you were a bad person, I was just trying to provoke you to look at them all by doubting you.
You actually can. Well not really the gun, but the powder in the bullets yes.
As for the criminal thing, I covered that in comment number 169.

that vid proves my point in its first few seconds
lets do some thinking here
people have acces guns>robbers get guns>robbers shoot people>one person saves himself using a gun

you are basing your point with only the last bit of this
while if there were gunlaws in the first place itd have bein illigal for those robbers to have guns in the first place and itd be way harder to get for them
so less people wouldve died if there were gun laws
User avatar #165 - Jewssassin (12/21/2012) [-]
Im about to get off topic, but work with me here; Do you smoke pot?
User avatar #167 - bramdk (12/21/2012) [-]
that wasnt very nice
get back on topic please
User avatar #169 - Jewssassin (12/21/2012) [-]
Ok thats fair.
What I was getting at is that pot is illegal, people get it.
And the thing about criminals is that they dont obey the law.
There are illegal gun runners, and thats where a large portion of guns that are used in crimes come from.
User avatar #172 - bramdk (12/21/2012) [-]
yes but at this time its much to easy for criminals to get guns because they can just buy them
making it illagal would make it ALOT harder for them wouldnt it?
look fair is fair its you cant blame crime on guns alone
things like economical regression makes people do robberies in the first place and i take back on putting a full ban on guns
but i still think rules should be made tighter and screening should be more thorough
User avatar #174 - Jewssassin (12/21/2012) [-]
I agree. I dont want criminals to have guns, but most dont just walk in and buy them from any old gun store.
A good amount come from gun stores that are known for not abiding by the law. They need to be found a shut down. The other large portion come from a black market, a good amount coming from Mexico. The next highest, as long as memory serves right, comes from "straw purchases", where the criminal gets someone to buy it for them. There are a obviously a few other ways, but they provide a miniscule amount compared to the others.
User avatar #175 - bramdk (12/21/2012) [-]
hehe finnaly someone on the internet who in the end of an argument comes to an agreement instead of turning on their capslock to go on talking
thanks sir or madam
this was good
User avatar #168 - bramdk (12/21/2012) [-]
if you are saying that because i might be a bit hazy on what im saying lemme explain it in simple terms

there are no propper gun laws
robbers get guns
a store owner gets guns
robbers shoot people and people die
store owner shoots and saves just himself

if the robbers didnt have guns in the first place the store owner wouldnt have to fill his nice watch store with guns
User avatar #171 - Jewssassin (12/21/2012) [-]
You're also not understanding what Im saying.
Criminals dont abide by the law. If you make it illegal to get guns, guess what? They dont care. It might be harder for them to get it, but since a black market for guns has well been established, you wont get guns out of the hands of the criminals.
Most criminals dont walk into a legal gun store to get their weapons.
User avatar #173 - bramdk (12/21/2012) [-]
guns are still made by manufacturers
i dont think theres actual people in the black market making their own guns from scratch
if there were propper screening methods you could get the people feeding the market and thus make getting guns from this market alot more expensive for the buyer due to loss of stock
User avatar #176 - Jewssassin (12/21/2012) [-]
There does need to be a reform for the way legal guns are sold, I agree. Unfortunately our infrastructure is so large it would be hard to get a good concrete way down.
Im not sure if you implied it, but the manufacturers do not distribute their products to criminals.
There actually schematics you can get online to easily make many different types of guns. Most easiest would be .22lr rifles. I have seen ones for larger calibers, ones for pistols and a few for fully automatic rifles. All made out of common materials you can get at home depot.
User avatar #177 - bramdk (12/21/2012) [-]
i did not try to imply manufacturers distributing their products to criminals
i was reffering to guns that are hard to make as some need some really really really precise fits
being made by a manufacturer then bought by what you called a straw purchaser
but in that case the criminal not being the criminal but the market receiving their parts
if there was more propper screening im sure there are ways to stop these straw purchasers
User avatar #178 - Jewssassin (12/21/2012) [-]
When I bought my rifle some other woman was trying to buy a pistol. After she left without it the store owner said that she was probably trying to buy it for a guy that was hanging around her. It was also the sixth time she tried to buy it. The reason she was denied that time was because she had an out of state license. Unfortunately if she ever gets her shit together theres nothing he can do.
Something does need to be done, but what I wouldnt know. Its one of the more complicated problems.

User avatar #40 - Jewssassin (12/18/2012) [-]
Under US law the M16A4 and M93 are automatic because they fire more then one round per trigger pull, but they are not fully automatic. The FAL and the FAMAS have fully automatic and burst fire variants, they just didnt have that in the game.
The M14 EBR is semi auto only, but some of the earlier models had fully automatic firing modes.
